Leatherhead
A little disappointing. Some fairways and tee boxes patchy and greens in a poor condition. Bearing in mind cost I was expecting the course to be in a far better condition. Would not rush to play here again. Probably too much money for a midweek round. Not helped by us being forced off the course after 16 holes due to lightning threat even though it was obvious that it had passed by. No offer of small refund or a return round.
Beautiful and good condition course.
The course was good.
Ground conditions was better.
My wife told me this course was best.
Challenging Course
It was a pretty challenging golf course. I have played 2 rounds on this course in the last 2 weeks and each time it has tested me.
Very friendly club and the course is in very good condition. Will certainly be back again to try and better my previous two rounds scores.
Excellent condition
The course is in excellent condition and it’s easily accessible from M25 but a bit expensive
Leatherhead - lovely!
Played with 3 mates who hadn’t played here before - they loved it! Course in its prime currently, always challenging and fun. Off course excellent facilities and open, friendly staff. Will be there again - soon!
Fantastic layout and friendly staff
Arrived a bit early and checked in, no one in front so let us head out whenever we were ready.
Course was in good condition and a nice gentle par 5 to start, course is lovely and tree lined and has a nice flow that doesn’t feel like you’re going back and forth. Course was pretty clear but ran into a fourball that let us play though and everyone on the course seemed to be in good spirits. Greens were a little slow but rolled well and tee boxes were level and cut.
Great course to visit with a good mix of holes on the course.
Nice & friendly
Staff very friendly & helpful.
Unfortunately for the time of year the greens were poor & it appeared they've got issues as they had been heavily sanded & somewhat took away the enjoyment of playing. Maybe this should have been mentioned at the time of check in.
However, generally it is a nice pleasant course for the mid to higher handicap range.
Had the greens been in a better playable condition, then it would certainly have been rated higher. Shame.
because it deserves better.
For strategic & confident shot-makers
This is an under-rated, tricky and well designed course, perhaps because of its proximity to the M25 and A243 and the background drone of traffic in certain wind directions. However, the terrain and elevations of the holes are varied, and the wind is also a factor for club selection. The tee boxes were mostly in decent condition, the fairways and rough were good and well maintained, and the greens were recently dressed with sand, which while necessary, diminished the putting experience but not the subtle borrows. The bunkers that I visited all had small stones, so beware of damaging your clubs or your playing friends when playing. The Half Way House closed at 3pm, so take sustenance with you, but the clubhouse did have some sandwiches to go with my beer at the end of the round. The indoor facilities, while the mens changing room was being refurbished, were a bit ropey but serviceable. I shall be back to play the course again, as it is one that can induce the odd epithet or two when you realise that your tee shot leaves a tricky second or even a third!
Worth a visit.
Fun course layout, particularly the back 9. In good condition for the most part, a few patchy looking greens but very playable.
We were unable to play because of lightning but were unable to contact golfnow to postpone the tee time for a better time.
The phone number from the receipt did not work and the reset password did not work either.
