Great Course and Facilities
Great course - was well maintained and a very enjoyable 18 holes. Will be back asap
The bar and food area is just right to relax within and is exactly the atmosphere and surrounding you want after playing golf.
Great
First time playing this track, will definitely play again.course was well looked after, greens were tight and overall playing of the course was good.
Spot on
Played 18/07/2024
Arrived at the course plenty of parking. We went to the pro shop to confirm my booking Staff were very friendly asked if we had played here before and told us we could use the practice areas until our allotted tee time
The course was in fantastic condition
When finished we went into the bar area for food and. A well deserved drink. Would definitely recommend this course AAA+++
Wike Ridge on a rainy day
Decided to play Wike even though his lord had opened the heavens and we played really well on this challenging course
Back 9 is nicer to play and the course has really matured a lot. Would definitely recommend
Last minute booking
Arrived early and informed that I could tee off immediately if I wished. No pressure from other players behind nice relaxing 18 holes of golf
Avoid
Really disappointing experience, the course should have been closed, the fairways were waterlogged or very boggy, greens were a mess and the fairs had big lumps of cut grass.
Speed of play was horrendous, we walked off after 9 holes taking over 2.5 hours for a two ball.
There are so many good courses to play in north Leeds, Wike is one that should be avoided.
£32.50 for incredibly wet winter gf
Completely get the weather can’t be helped but to be charged £32.50 for the wettest course I’ve played in a long time leaves a bad taste in the mouth. Two holes closed as well… simply put, they should’ve closed the course.
Layout of course, amenities can’t be faulted but won’t be returning anytime soon unfortunately. Balls getting lost in the fairway due to plugging. Barely even able to walk across the fairway at times. Can imagine it’s nice in the summer, but most clubs either close the course or lower the green fees to reflect the condition.
Winter golf
So many balls lost even in the fairways, plugged or lost under the crazy amount of leafs….dont take expensive balls! Even the members were saying h how bad it was trying to find the balls in play.
Booked an early tee-time otherwise I wouldn’t of got on that day.
I had no idea they were using mats on every tee and they didn’t even say anything when I arrived.
The greens were in terrible condition even after they had rolled them but I get there has been a bit of bad weather lately but still I think they could of been tended to a bit more.
Even though it was my first time round here the signs for the next hole weren’t good at all until you actually got somewhere near the next tee.
Overall the course wasn’t too bad for this time of year but would go back in better conditions.
