Decent but windy!
Nice course. Bit of a guess at times where the next tee is but other than that can’t complain at all. Out in the open so the gusty winds made it that little bit more difficult.
Excellent Course
Mid week hot deal find, absolutely amazing course and facilities, only issue is we booked on as a 2 ball and got put with another single without prior knowledge, thankfully the guy was kind enough to play on as a solo so we could go round as our standard 2 ball.
Great value
The course was in great condition apart from bunkers which were all GUR after heavy rain. Bunkers are been worked on with different sand so hopefully drainage will improve. Very good value for money and no one would be disappointed with the course. The whole set up is great however on this instance play was very slow. I witnessed three groups around me walking off without finishing the round due to slow play. It took me about four hours twenty minutes and I think there was only one tee where I wasn’t waiting a considerable time. Maybe a course marshal would be a good addition as there seems a reluctance to allow faster groups to play through. Half way house is good for food and drink but couldn’t take advantage on this occasion due to pace of play.
Hidden gem
Above expectations, some amazing holes, a hidden gem!
Beautiful course but some holes hard to find
This is a beautiful course with some real challenging holes Due to some ground improvements some of the back 9 holes are difficult to find especially 15. Other than that fantastic course.
Good coarse, but price rises make it not competitive.
Played this coarse for around 17 years and always enjoyed it.but it is now starting to lose its appeal.the coarse is good.but the pitch marks left in the greens are beyond a joke, and more often than not its members who leave them..and now they charge 30-35 for a week day round.im sorry but it's not worth it.you can play cobble hall which is by far and away a better coarse and is very well maintained l and is £10 a round cheaper.
Wike Ridge course
A great course with numerous well placed water hazards. A great layout with both short par fours to long par fives which makes you think and not just a “get the driver out” course. Bunkers need a lot of work but to be fair the repair work on them was already underway.
Great course and facilities
Always enjoy it here. Tricky conditions and recent heavy rain but course holding up well. Good facilities with driving range and nice clubhouse and pro shop.
An excellent course, makes you want to go back
The course is in great condition especially at this time of year. Some challenging holes whilst offering some forgiveness for the odd stray shot.
I'm considering membership here as I find I just keep going back despite lots of other good courses available nearby.
The facilities are also great making the whole experience really enjoyable every time.
Would highly recommend!
Wike ridge golf club.
Excellent course conditions for this time of the year as always. Drainage is fantastic on this course and no temporary tee's or greens which is quite rare in winter. Value for money as we only paid £18 for 18 holes staff very friendly and accommodating including the bar staff in the bar afterwards.. would highly recommend this course to anyone and even more so in the winter months as this is always our go to course from Dec to March. Simply because the course is very seldom overly wet and no temporary tee's or greens. Never disappointed..
Wrong day booked
On arrival it turned out that I had booked Thurs rather than Tues however the guy in the shop moved my booking with no fuss and even kept the golfnow.co.uk price of £12.i love this course as its always fully open and the layout is one of the best I've played. Shame everyone doesn't repair pitch marks and the bunkers are in need of improvement.
Great for time of year
We played here last summer and were disappointed with the condition however this was the first time we had been as it is usually good all year round. We paid only £12 and the course was almost fully open apart from a couple of tees which had been moved forward however this did not spoil a good day's golf. The only criticism is the usual problem of people not repairing pitch marks.
Great days golf
Excellent days golf with my daughter
Course conditions were extremely good given the weather we had been experiencing over the week leading up.
Staff were very welcoming and friendly,so big thumbs up from me
Friday people
Excellent course would highly recommend First time playing there today It was quite full but the pace of play was spot on And the other golfers around us were really friendly, which always makes for a fun day Went for a beer after and staff just as friendly and helpful We make a point of finding new courses to play on ( have played all over Scotland/England / Europe and America and this course is one of the best we have played this year
