Great course and facilities
Always enjoy it here. Tricky conditions and recent heavy rain but course holding up well. Good facilities with driving range and nice clubhouse and pro shop.
An excellent course, makes you want to go back
The course is in great condition especially at this time of year. Some challenging holes whilst offering some forgiveness for the odd stray shot.
I'm considering membership here as I find I just keep going back despite lots of other good courses available nearby.
The facilities are also great making the whole experience really enjoyable every time.
Would highly recommend!
Wike ridge golf club.
Excellent course conditions for this time of the year as always. Drainage is fantastic on this course and no temporary tee's or greens which is quite rare in winter. Value for money as we only paid £18 for 18 holes staff very friendly and accommodating including the bar staff in the bar afterwards.. would highly recommend this course to anyone and even more so in the winter months as this is always our go to course from Dec to March. Simply because the course is very seldom overly wet and no temporary tee's or greens. Never disappointed..
Wrong day booked
On arrival it turned out that I had booked Thurs rather than Tues however the guy in the shop moved my booking with no fuss and even kept the golfnow.co.uk price of £12.i love this course as its always fully open and the layout is one of the best I've played. Shame everyone doesn't repair pitch marks and the bunkers are in need of improvement.
Great for time of year
We played here last summer and were disappointed with the condition however this was the first time we had been as it is usually good all year round. We paid only £12 and the course was almost fully open apart from a couple of tees which had been moved forward however this did not spoil a good day's golf. The only criticism is the usual problem of people not repairing pitch marks.
Great days golf
Excellent days golf with my daughter
Course conditions were extremely good given the weather we had been experiencing over the week leading up.
Staff were very welcoming and friendly,so big thumbs up from me
Friday people
Excellent course would highly recommend First time playing there today It was quite full but the pace of play was spot on And the other golfers around us were really friendly, which always makes for a fun day Went for a beer after and staff just as friendly and helpful We make a point of finding new courses to play on ( have played all over Scotland/England / Europe and America and this course is one of the best we have played this year
Greens still a let down
Coarse still in good condition apart from the gree.dead patches on the greens and a lot of pitch marks as well.amazing how members do not repair them
Poor pace of play
We played this course on a hot deal late Sunday afternoon expecting to fly round. The course had just had its greens treated which we were not told about. Also, I had rung up to check on how busy the course was and they stated it was just two balls so we should fly around. When we arrived we were told we could get off straight away which was great. However it became apparent that we had a fourball of Indian gentlemen who were holding up all the twoballs and were not allowing any groups to play through. In the end we had to miss the 9th and 10th out as we would not have finished our round. Surely course etiquette should be explained to all groups! This was not a competition either, and they had a fifth member, a young boy running around the fairways. Unfortunately we will not be back.
The staff in the pro shop were fab, and the pro shop was very well stocked.
Great course
Greens are very good a little on the fast side for my skill level but a great test. There a little on the hard side though so don’t pin seek or you’ll be off the back of the green. Fairways were some of the best I’ve ever played on, I mostly used irons off the tee as hitting a fairway gave you at least 20+yards of extra roll out. Rough was punishing yet no so long as to easily lose balls. Tees were cut short and level. Manned halfway hut is well stocked. Will definitely come again but at £40 a round unfortunately not as often as I’d like too. Driving range has Toptracer and is well worth a visit
Excellent Course
A very enjoyable course with challenging holes and water hazards.
The course was in good condition and the facilities very good
Confusing layout
Nice course in good condition. The layout is confusing in a few of the middle holes and would benefit from better signage. Make sure gps equipment is updated as my watch does not recognise the current course lay out.
