Great course
Really enjoyed playing this course, conditions were great considering the wet weather.
Ridiculously slow and poor condition
Remembered the course being really good from playing pre pandemic but it has really gone downhill, greens in very bad condition.
But the worst thing, pace of play! 50 minutes for first 2 holes before ringing the pro to come out and speed up, which they didn’t do. Things improved as 2 groups in front left after 9 but still took 5 hrs 10 mins. Clear they just cram as many people as possible on.
Would not recommend or play again.
Slow play
Last couple of times playing this course slow play has spoilt my round. They need to have some gaps in play or a course martial as on this occasion it was ridiculous.
Long afternoon!
Have played wike many times, unfortunately this experience was spoilt by taking 4.75 HRS to complete 16 holes. We walked off the 16th green in darkness. The key delay being a large golf society of very mixed ability teeing off in the hour before we teed off .Poor Planning on course staff...there were even at least 4 other groups behind us ..so not good
The fall of a former great.
This course won 2018 course of the year if I remember rightly and when we played it back then it was in great condition and was well looked after. Unfortunately now they have neglected it: the tee boxes are in some serious need of grass; the greens are some of the worst I’ve played on in years, and I’ve played on courses that let cattle roam free on them. The greens are contoured brilliantly but they have let patches become worn and it just smacks of they really don’t care.
I used to recommend this course to people, I can honestly say - don’t waste your money. You will be disappointed.
Nice round, not up to usual standard
Top 2 courses I’ve played in Leeds
Fairways cut nicely, all bunkers are perfect and tee boxes.
Greens are very fast and seemed patchy and hard this round, usually top condition. Not sure what course management have done to greens but not great.
Rough is a tough length but also cut beautifully.
Course itself is challenging sone holes require different shots at various length. Beautiful and usually best conditioned course all round.
Play was slow, people jumping holes. But this is usually not the case.
Paid £22 good for the price. Will expect greens to be better condition when I return
Excellent condition
The course is in fantastic condition, the greens in particular were beautiful and smooth. Playing from the white tees it's a good long par 72, I bet it can be very tough in wetter/windier conditions! I booked a twilight round at a discounted rate and it was great value for money, and managed to make it round the full 18 in good time because the place was deserted! Proper millionaires golf. The staff could maybe do with being a little more professional,.the clubhouse is a lovely venue but does get let down a bit by the lads behind the counter. But it certainly wasn't a bad experience by any means, quite the opposite. Looking forward to my next round here.
Decent but windy!
Nice course. Bit of a guess at times where the next tee is but other than that can’t complain at all. Out in the open so the gusty winds made it that little bit more difficult.
Excellent Course
Mid week hot deal find, absolutely amazing course and facilities, only issue is we booked on as a 2 ball and got put with another single without prior knowledge, thankfully the guy was kind enough to play on as a solo so we could go round as our standard 2 ball.
Great value
The course was in great condition apart from bunkers which were all GUR after heavy rain. Bunkers are been worked on with different sand so hopefully drainage will improve. Very good value for money and no one would be disappointed with the course. The whole set up is great however on this instance play was very slow. I witnessed three groups around me walking off without finishing the round due to slow play. It took me about four hours twenty minutes and I think there was only one tee where I wasn’t waiting a considerable time. Maybe a course marshal would be a good addition as there seems a reluctance to allow faster groups to play through. Half way house is good for food and drink but couldn’t take advantage on this occasion due to pace of play.
Hidden gem
Above expectations, some amazing holes, a hidden gem!
Beautiful course but some holes hard to find
This is a beautiful course with some real challenging holes Due to some ground improvements some of the back 9 holes are difficult to find especially 15. Other than that fantastic course.

Good coarse, but price rises make it not competitive.
Played this coarse for around 17 years and always enjoyed it.but it is now starting to lose its appeal.the coarse is good.but the pitch marks left in the greens are beyond a joke, and more often than not its members who leave them..and now they charge 30-35 for a week day round.im sorry but it's not worth it.you can play cobble hall which is by far and away a better coarse and is very well maintained l and is £10 a round cheaper.
Wike Ridge course
A great course with numerous well placed water hazards. A great layout with both short par fours to long par fives which makes you think and not just a “get the driver out” course. Bunkers need a lot of work but to be fair the repair work on them was already underway.
