Good, used to be better
Wike Ridge is a nice course layout with some outstanding holes (2nd in particular). However, it’s been very busy and the last 3 times I’ve played , we’ve been held up with slow play. The group behind us called it a day after 16 holes as a result. Compared to other courses for the same price in and around the area, the greens are a lot slower and the overall course condition just isn’t as good. Overall ok but isn’t the value for money it once was
Friendly people, forgiving course
Getting back into the game after a long injury forced absence.
Arrived as a single player but paired up with a member on the 2nd tee. Very friendly members who provided excellent company.
Forgiving course in nice condition, some very pretty holes and not too many hazards.
Great setting and relaxing golf which doesn't punish the odd wayward shot too much.
Would recommend
Great venue
Great place , decent length and some interesting places ponds ...... mind that water
Great layout, fantastic course and facilities.
Friendly staff. What's not to like.
Will definitely be back.
Wike Ridge
Fantastic course layout, plenty of length and wide open fairways for the occasional hook or slice (we all do now and again). Played well and scored well, no lost balls even on holes with water hazards.
Hole 14 (stroke index 1) absolutely amazing design and looking forward to playing it again especially in summer, when I sure it will show it’s teeth.
Overall great course and in good condition for this time of year even after the heavy rainfall.
Very good course
Immaculately presented. Exceptional facilities. Just gutted we got the morning after they aired the greens. But they gave us £10 off our next round for the inconvenience. The course was in top nick.
Great course
First time playing here and we’ll definitely be back, good value booking through golf now but the only gripe is they can pair you up with another 2 ball which you should be made aware of before booking! The course was in excellent condition, the greens and fairways were immaculate, some varied holes with water hazards dotted around, the course is not too long which makes it ideal, the bar area was good for a couple of pints after and the staff were friendly.
Well kept, varied course
The wether turned out for us as did the course, greens were quick, it looked great only minor niggle was a couple of beaten up tee boxes. Facilities on offer are great, but all quite expensive. Bar staff were nice but the lads in the pro shop could’ve been friendlier, and weren’t very welcoming. Worth going for the course alone, but for the price you pay I think the service either needs to be a little better, or you the value for money does.
Excellent
course was in cracking condition and played really well. Pace of play was fast, almost too fast at times and we felt a bit rushed but hey, we have all had a lon time without playing so not surprised it was so busy. Everyone was really friendly and we had a great time despite the downpour!
My view
Used carts only on paths which spoilt a decent day when there was no reason the course would have held up especially with winter wheels
I am a high handicap golfer, I have to say that I do enjoy your course, all holes are a challenge for me but I do feel that it gives me a chance, your index 1 I cannot get there in 2, I can in three, a two put and I am happy as a sand boy. I live in Wetherby and a member of that course, if it was halfway I would have joined your course. I will keep coming back as I do like the course and your friendly staff.
Great new course
Great new course. Greens ran true, course in great condition and always had a warm welcome.
Can recommend it for anyone who likes playing well kept courses without the stuffy atmosphere of older courses.
