psf
very nice layout but they had hollow tined and dressed the greens which made them un-playable. So they should have given a substantial discount.
A very nice Covid experience
Started with a call from the Professional the evening prior to warn that the course would be being top dressed, which was thoughtful.
The condition of the course was super, despite a heavy downpour overnight.
The Professional met us warmly, had our buggy cleaned & ready to go.
The course was clear, so we were able to start early, & the members & the ground keepers were welcoming and chatty.
The course was beautifully presented, and lived up to our expectations, challenging our 19 & 12 handicap as expected.
The Clubhouse facilities were limited, but given the conditions we are experiencing not surprising. We also played early, & we did expect this, though.
Overall, a great, value for money experience, & we will go again.

Very clean and well looked after greens and fairways, busy course but fast play is needed which sometimes for beginners would be a bit daunting,
All in all dully enjoyed and would recommend.
Nice course
Greens superb..run true..fairways play well..well worth the money
Impressive
Impressive course. Friendly club shop. Incredible first 9 holes with lovely vistas. Beautifully cut greens and fairways. Unfortunately on the back nine we got stuck from a very slow four ball up ahead that seemed to cause a backlog of players waiting on every tee. At times there were upto 10 players waiting to tee off! It doesn’t take away wanting to have another go on this course. But that back nine very slow play ruined the experience of such a wonderful and testing course.
Fantastic day of golf
had a great day course was in fantastic condition very picturesque, ground staff doing a fantastic job would recommend this for a good day out pace of the greens and condition was superb
A fine course and a good test of golf
I played with 2 sons yesterday. It had been raining, but stayed dry, if a bit dull, during our round. The first 5 holes are somewhat of a procession up and down, but great for warming up. The course then becomes interesting with some sweeping long par 4s, a charming but challenging 110 yd par 3, a quirky par 5 with a blind shot up hill to a hidden green, a challenging par 3 where the green is significantly up a steep hill, which all adds up to an enjoyable, playable course. The greens were true and quick, and although bunkers were not being maintained due to COVID impacts, that did not detract from the enjoyment. We did not use the clubhouse, but we were made welcome in the pro shop and saw a few members during our round, who were fine!!
Decent
Good course especially when only paying £17.
Tees excellent condition
Fairways excellent condition wide when needed to be & narrow when playing shorter holes
Rough was fair
Greens a little slow very undulating good though
Bunkers only went in 1 but they need work doing on them
Will definitely play again
Great course
Played for the 1st time and really enjoyed it. Fairways are forgiving if you have natural slice like myself. Course is well looked after and the staff were friendly and helpful. Would recommend and will be going back
Leeds Golf Club, one of the best!!
First time at Leeds Golf Club and the overall experience was excellent. Friendly Club, members and staff were so helpful. Facilities great, course played very well in wet conditions & greens were superb. Will be back for a second visit.
A challenge
The course was in good condition but small patches were still recovering after last years hot weather. It sits is on a long hill which you play along, slowly rising. It is undulating too which creates a few blind shots hots above and below your feet. The first 6 holes run in parallel so can be quite close but after the 6th the course really opens out, with wide fairways and long holes.
This is a very old course with mature tress and flower beds. Due to the time of year the tees and flowers are yet to come out but I am sure in summer this place would be beautiful with some good views across Leeds in places.
We teed off around lunch and we had the whole course to ourselves so it was a relaxing round.
The clubhouse is large, with a good balcony overlooking the course. There were only a few people in but they were very friendly.
Lovely parkland course
Course was in good condition after a week of poor weather, greens very good, however,we had the misfortune to get behind 8 footballs & were waiting to drive on many tees, which made it a 4 hour round when usually me & my mate usually get round in 3!
Leeds Golf Club
Since a change in groundskeeper last year the greens and tees are in great shape. No winter greens and only winter tees on a few holes. So great work in progress of the fairways and bunkers.
This traditional golf course offers a challenge for the experienced golfer and novice alike. Couldn’t recommend it enough
Great Condition
Played the course last week for the first time in 6 weeks. I expected it to be wet every where but was pleasantly surprised at how dry it was.
Green keepers were busy, and it helped that i played nicely. Staff in the club house were very welcoming. I will be playing there again soon.
PAID TO MUCH
We played the course and found the conditions very
poor the fairways were very heavy and all the greens
were temporary ones, not good when you are paying the full price (the same rate as you pay in mid summer)
A Mackenzie Gem
I've played Leeds GC a few times, as it's my nearest course. Playing at the end of October, the course was understandably a little muddy in places. But the greens were in exceptional condition, given the time of year. THe staff are always very friendly, and the pace of play is, mercifully, brisk.
After a hohum first few holes, the course opens out with some really interesting holes. The 14th and 15th have steep approaches to the greens, so you need a degree of fitness to keep your score together. Great value - where else can you play a Mackenzie course for £15?
