Very Enjoyable Day
Had been looking for somewhere to play over the Christmas break and Leeds Golf Club offered significantly more times than the vast majority of other clubs in the area. We opted to play at 8:52 am and we’re charged £21 each which I regard as fair based on the wet winter conditions. The course was wet but not unplayable and all 18 holes were open and there were no temporary greens. As a fourball we were not held up at anytime and got round in 3 hrs 20 mins which was excellent. Hospitality in the club afterwards was excellent also although we didn’t have any food, just a drink. Aware Leeds Golf Club has had financial difficulties over the past few years but with a new owner is now on a much sounder footing. Based on how we were treat on the day I can only assume it will go from strength to strength. The course itself is not the most difficult but a good test requiring long irons (certainly in winter when we played) for second shots . We all thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will definitely look forward to another visit in the future.
Great condition, foggy like a Scooby Doo episode
Hard to expect much condition wise at this time of year. I emailed the pro before to ask how it was and it was as he described. All greens in play, fairways fairly dry, boggy in places but this is to be expected. Few decent holes, just a shame I didn't play so well. Overall enjoyed the course, I'm sure it would be class in the summer
Well kept and interesting parkland course
This was the first time playing this course, after a recommendation from a friend. A good mixture of long and short holes. The fairways and greens were all in good condition for late November. I will definitely play here again.
Good condition
Good round of golf, found first 4 holes a bit bland but after very good, some very nice difficult par 3s
Greens were superb
Given the time of year and recent rain, the course had drained well and we didn't encounter any boggy parts.
The greens were in excellent condition
The post match pint was also in excellent condition
Interesting course after hole 4 but earlier holes are a good warmup
Really enjoyed the course. Not an easy course but managed a good score. Unlike my mates lol
Nice course
Nice course in good condition.
A couple of the holes on the back nine are hilly.
The is a nice challenge .
100% Recommended
How had I not played here before?!? Fairly local to myself, I could not fault Leeds Golf Club, and will definitely be returning in the future.
Having played 20 different courses so far this year, this was one of the best conditioned courses if not the best inland course this year.
100% recommended
Top course - but more signs needed
Enjoyed our first visit to Leeds. Warm welcome from the pro and found the course in great condition. Undulations make it a real challenge. Only criticism was the lack of course layout info - essential for first time visitors. Scorecard needed a layout plus only a few holes had a layout map on the tee.
Ladies day
A great course spoilt by lack of etiquette of female golfers so slow unbelievable
Nice track.
Foolish me chose to play on the hottest day since records began and I did cut short my round as a result. Overall, I like it here. I’ll definitely be back, staff are very pleasant, greens faster than a greasy weasel on ice and great views are to be expected. Can not go wrong for the money.
Lovely course
Really enjoyed the course. In great condition despite recent heavy rain making some greens a bit soft, but still fast and true. Several signiture holes making a great test of skill and tempting a challenge. Nice and open well kept fairways with manageable rough.
Friendly knowledgeable Pro
The welcome we received from the Pro was excellent. It was the start of a memorable day of meeting friendly people and an enjoyable day of golf.
