Tight parkland course
Very good but tight course, drives need to be accurate. Greens were smallish on some hole but ran true.
Very interesting course layout meandering through the forest.
No facilities available for post round for a guest, but a great course. Worth a visit, but keep your slice and hook in the bag.
Lovely Lingfield
I really enjoyed the layout of this course. There is some really narrow holes and approach shots Plus strategically positioned bunkers and water hazards adding to the challenge and features of this course. Through GN, fantastic value for money. The down sides were the pace of play (not overly surprising on a Saturday), the club house / pro shop / bar etc were all closed being victims of Covid measures. Also the course was a bit soft and muddy. OK there has been rain but a lot of the mud on the fairways is from worm casts that had not been addressed or apparently treated for.
Great Value for Money for a Twilight round
This was my 3rd time playing the course and as a solid 28 handicap hacker it was very pleasurable. I particularly like the variety of holes. A couple of the greens need some attention, they appear to have been damaged by buggy tracks by the look of things which is a shame. Tee boxes were slightly forward of their usual positions but this is expected with winter on its way and being a bit soggy underfoot. For the money though it is an excellent 18 holes of golf.
Poor Condition
This course has really gone downhill, first time playing this year and couldn't believe the state of it. The greens were okay, but fairways and tee boxes were bad! That's why it's only £20 to play I guess...
This could be a great course
The layout of this course is let down by the condition of the front nine fairways, really enjoyed the course and if these issues were sorted it would be a GREAT! course
Good course and well worth the money. fairways were pretty parched but greens were in good condition.
Much better than 18 months ago
Hospitality and registering a little different these days. Signs a bit confusing but course was easy to follow round. Coupe of fairways early on would be better to call lift and place. Tees have seen better days but still playable. Greens on the slow side but no sign of the treatment mentioned in previous reviews. Glad to come back and good to play again. No issuecwith playing again in the near future. I should mention that it is not for the perfectionist or forth low (under 6 h'cap) but always a challenge. Will be back sooner rather than later.
Nice course
Can't fault the course good greens quite interesting holes only downside very very slow play and not enough time between tee off slots and no course Marshall to hurry play along
Fairly decent
Challenging course. Fairways were not great bit greens running smooth.
Fair price and decent pace.
Great and challenging course
Fairways are in great order. Greens being treated now but still in excellent order. Great variety of holes and hilly and challenging. You have to cross the race course twice which can hold you up if timing coincides with a race. Bit it’s professionally managed and seamless...And what a lovely distraction watching these superb animals thunder past you...best seat in the house. Even great friendly banter with the jockeys as they go to
Post. Out of Covid times I’d 5 star it as we couldn’t experience the hospitality....
Average
2.15 hours to play 9 holes....
Very very slow
Two parties ahead of us, slowest golfers I have ever seen.....
Lingfield Park 0909/2020
Tee blocks fair, fairways badly need attention for some holes, bunkers had improved dramatically since last round, approaches to greens fair, but some greens need some attention, but on the whole were running true
