A little gem. Interesting and varied holes. Greens ok but not cut particularly short. Take a few spare balls if you aren’t a straight hitter!
Challenging but very enjoyable
This is a very tight course which demands accuracy which I unfortunately don’t have!! The rough is extremely thick with it being almost impossible to find the ball if you miss the fairway. The condition of the course was great despite the rain. The greens however, we’re very slow and needed to be cut lower.
It’s very good value for money.
I will be going back again to see if I can do a little better The course obviously beat me and highlighted my golfing weaknesses which aren’t so apparent on the wider more forgiving courses I’m used to playing on.
Nice surprise
A very quirky course in get conditioned greens and fairways very good it’s a place you must play if you’re in the area great second hole down hill very hard to hold green, recommend this hidden gem
A hidden gem
Gillyflower golf is a hidden gem. The varied (and some demanding) holes are an excellent test of golf. The organic greens are slow but true and the setting in a beautiful valley next to the river Fowey is a delight
Great course
Vaguely remember playing this when it was Lostwithiel gc 18 hole course but don't be put off from playing it as a 9 hole 18 tee course.....you won't be disappointed, some long holes and challenging par 3's.Well worth a visit.
Worth a visit
Excellent 9 hole course with 18 tees. Overall condition very good with some tricky and interesting holes especially no.2 'Mean Hill'. Two long par 5's, 2 par 3's and 5 par 4's. Rather hilly in places so would always recommend trollies, but would certainly recommend a visit.
Worth every penny
Being a member at Trethorne we decided to try somewhere different is a brilliant little hidden gem would highly recommend bit hard to work out where to go when you get there but all makes sense with the signs there is no clubhouse here either so bear that in mind when arriving there but overall brilliant course very well maintained
Best 9 hole course ever.
What a great day. Wonderful course great condition. When they have built a clubhouse it will be magnificent.
Interesting course
When we arrived nobody on the course, which was not easy to find given no club house. However park at Gillyflower farm and walk across the lane to the french van. You have found the course. Course not easy by any means and each hole provides a challenge. Course in excellent condition and 2 green keepers out cutting fairways and greens and very friendly. Unfortunately no score cards available on the day, but who cares. A great experience, bargain price and would happily play the course in the future.
5⭐️Value
Great value for money, very good condition , well maintained
Very rural
Used to be a member before it closed 2014 but going back to the course was great slightly different layout but vety challenging
Nice course
Nice course, great scenery and great value for money only problem was when we went it was very muddy and wet other then that was a great course
Interesting course ! Some nice holes, plays as an 18 hole but the back 9 holes are very short par 4s and 3s. No one there to welcome you on arrival and no club house. Green keeps very friendly. Greens are very slow !
Can’t complain at the price but wouldn’t rush back.
6/10
Rubbish communication
Beautiful course just no response from any phone calls or messages, we needed buggies which was advertised but not a soul in sight to tell us or show us where to go. Course in lovely condition though very picturesque just let down by no communication!
Lovely course
A really enjoyable course to play don't let the 9 holes put you off as the change in tee positions on the 2nd 9 make it as though you are playing 18. Staff were very accommodating
Great little course
This is a great little course. It has only 9 greens but the sue if separated tee's enable you to play 18 unique (ish) holes.
The only hole that isn't significantly changed is the par 3 2nd/11th. However this hole is one of several standout holes on the course that make it great.
They have made great use of the land and its contours to provide som challenging holes and some teasing potentially drivable par 4s.
The course also have some lovely views as it plays alongside the river Fowey.
They have taken care of nature here too with some proteted habitats turned into features that come with free drops that can sometimes help you out of trouble.
At just £20 for 18 holes its a bargain!
I would definitely play again and recommend it too all standards.
(It only lost a star for the lack of club house which is awaiting planning permission).
Got to play it
Great 9 holes course got to play it man in van was great to talk to
