Great once we found someone to allow us to start.
Turned up and went to pro shop, paper sign on shoal door said to go to club house, where we just came from. Back to club house and chef tells us Kevin(?) was in the bar , no he wasn’t. Long story short we found someone who said we should go off at 11:16 so we did.
Great greens . Tee boxes need water as a priority fairways secondary. Understand it’s been a dry summer so we agreed bare lies on the fairways were a free drop.
Would play again there so nothing major wrong with course, few more directions to next tee needed, we had to ask members 3 times where next. As most courses nowadays no sand under your ball in places so don’t go in bunkers:0)
Nice food , friendly staff and members, enjoyable day
Good Course, Nice Weather
Nice Course with some nice holes, not too challenging
Well maintained and pleasantly challenging
Played Middleton a few times now and the course is always in excellent condition, even with the current hot and dry weather. Fairways are mowed well and greens are always fast and immaculate. Areas of rough can be fluffy and deep so the onus is always to hit a fairway or green, however shots are easily playable from the rough if you prioritise precision over power. Pin positions are often tucked into corners or behind bunkers and provide a great challenge if you’re looking to make birdies. Pace of play is always good, haven’t ever found myself being bunched up. It’s a course that can’t be overpowered, so laying up and thinking methodically is the best way to score low.
My Favourite golf course and club
My favourite course in great condition with clubhouse Facilities and welcome to nat h.
Great course
Really enjoyed it, in really good condition for how much rain we’ve had. Greens were really nice and tricky.
We will definitely be going back.
Great course for those of us who don’t hit a long ball. You have to think your way round which makes for a different challenge to other courses. Only used my driver on 3 holes. Driving range and practice area are good for a warm up.
Good value
Nice course. Stones in the bunker meant a free drop for me! Ground was very well maintained given the weather had just had plus the greens were ok for the time of year. Enjoyed the round very much
Very nice course
Despite a mix up with our booking, we played in the middle of a ladies tournament. A genuine mix up with our booking, but was dealt with in a very friendly manner. We were even bought a drink at the end.
We will go back again.
Great course
I went there on my own as my playing partner let me down last min I played the 1st 5 holes on my own and went to the 6th tee two member Ian and Andy waited for me there and asked if I wanted to join them glad I did as course knowledge is everything especially on some of the holes!!! They even brought me a drink at the 19th would highly recommend playing this course as some of the holes are unique and it was in such good condition for this time of year will definitely be going back even if it was a hour drive to get there
Not worth the money
For a pricey course the greens could be maintained better. Also found myself waiting alot to olay the next hole.
Superb
The layout of this course is ideal for all levels of golfer and some serious challenges if you are out of position l played with a fairly new member of the club and I assured him that he had made a good decision excellent greens and although I don't visit Norfolk often this will be on the radar for a further visit can't see any golfer being disappointed simply superb
Worth a visit
Only criticism would lack of signage to find the place. SatNav takes you to the main road beside the club but there is no entrance there.
That said, great course, challenge for all levels, wicked rough, some interesting and technically difficult holes, friendly and helpful staff.
Well worth a visit.
Great course if you can find it!
Everything about the course is as you would want it to be. The only issue is the lack of signage to help you find it!
