North shore
Very challenging for a novice but a fantastic course with fantastic views
North Shore G.C. A nice course
Good value for the cost paid, the new pro Nick is very friendly, He has a well stocked pro shop.
The course has some interesting holes with two over huge dunes to saucer greens, fairways a little patchy in places, placing was in operation, greens were a touch slow but overall well worth the cost, will come back and play again.
An interesting and challenging course
A mixture of links and parkland holes which provides a challenge particularly as it was extremely windy on the day we played. Some of the holes were a little bare and the greens were hard and fast but a bit of rain will soon put that right. Due to the current Covid situation we did not get to check out the off course facilities on this occasion. The only downside on the day was the number of other players wandering about the course with no regard for etiquette. However we will be back.
Very slow play
Held up by a 4 ball who were "playing in a competition". Wasn't allowed to play through after asking politely, so had to leave my round after 9th hole as it was getting dark.
The course was brilliant and fun to play and staff were great but my experience that I was looking forward to was ruined by slow play.
Such a shame.
Very enjoyable
Just played for the first time and will certainly return, good mix of holes, lynx and parkland. Some great views on certain holes. Good value too.
Seaside special.
Clever track with more than a few risk and reward challenges. Greens were in good shape, true roll if a bit slow. Placing right now as some fairways seem to have lost their grass but to be honest, not too much of an issue. Staff were great and we were round in just over 3 hours. Typical Braid track, think before you hit it. Very much worth the trip to SKEGVEGAS. I will be back.
Thanks so much.
Fresh air...
Clever Braid track, great variety and some good risk and reward challenges. In good shape considering the weather, sea mist and fresh air.. what's not to like, very nice people too recommend a visit.
half links half parkland very interesting and enjoyable layout, played in a comp took 4 & 3/4 hours to play a 3 hour golf course, much too long , there is just no need for it.
Food is always decent, plenty of it and good value, also the members are really friendly and make you welcome
Good Course in excellent condition
The course is a mix of parkland and links holes with a number of blind shots. A second round is therefore a must (or the use of a buggy to identify lines and landing points).
There are some very tight fairways that favour left handers as they will not bring the out of bounds areas into play as easily . Lots of bunkers including pot style holes to make you think your way around the course and great views across the Wash to Norfolk. Limited outside space at the 19th for the post round relaxation but a well stocked Pro Shop as you enter the Car Park
Nice challenge nice course
Booked a round for myself and had the course to myself enjoyed the challenge. Course was in nice condition greens were pretty good just couldn't buy a putt. The wind made it more challenging but a good test and a nice getaway. Would recommend it
Worth a knock..
Played this course for the first time today, very welcoming from the guy in the pro shop.
The course has some very good holes, every hole is different which is nice. Some holes are deceiving where the large target poles are for the greens. The greens are some 20-30 yards further on than the target poles. Fairway grass was a little long but still in decent condition. Greens were good.
Only let down for me being a single player was it did get a bit slow towards the last few holes as the group in front was waiting for the hole to clear before they feed off which was frustrating but that’s no fault of the course!!
I will defo come back and play here when in the area again.
Played on 10th July 2019
The weather was very good and the course quiet. I found that the practice facilities were a little lacking. One practice putting green at the entrance which was find. The practice area in the middle of two fairways was pointless as it was just for chipping, never did find any nets.
The course it’s self was a pleasure just the right amount of variety, short holes, long holes, some blind tee shots and some wide open and some where accuracy was key. The conditions was very good and pace of play could not fault as I was a single player.
Will definitely return and would recommend.
Great course
Great course even in windy conditions, pace of play was good. Pro shop was excellent and helpful. Would recommend this course to anybody
A little disappointing
Was looking forward to this, but was somewhat disappointed. There were a number of winter mats in use which were like concrete, making it very difficult to hit irons off the deck, which was needed in the par 3s. A lot of considerable walks between holes. There was fertiliser all over the greens and a number of the fairways were being scarified. The putting green was closed due to recent damage and the short game area had been scarified meaning that was out of action too! There was a net though.
The course overall was quite dry so I’m not sure why the mats were in play. We got a hot deal meaning we paid £13 each. If we had paid more I think I would have asked for a refund!
North Shore
Really enjoyable, good price, staff friendly, good condition, would def recommend
Skeggy weekender
A most enjoyable game of golf for a very reasonable price. Friendly staff in the pro shop and in the hotel. Booking is so easy, facilities are good. What's not to like? I will certainly play there again and will use Teeofftimes again.
Parkland
Yet again credit to the course staff for making this a worth while course to play, we have been coming to play this course yearly and it never fails, top marks to all who run and keep this great course going.kind regards William Miles.
