Panshanger Golf Complex

A lovely municipal course which is in really good condition considering how wet it has been of late.

The greens were not the fastest I have ever putted on but they were certainly true and rolled very well. The fariways were a little bumpy as I guess the course was a bit dry before the rains. Bunkers were good the sand was different colours from hole to hole.

The golf shop was stocked with lots of decent brands and the staff were friendly. The buggy that we rented was £27 so not the cheapest around but it looked brand new and was spotless. we did not go in to the bar/pub attached to the course so could not comment on this. There looked to be quite a few people in there but I got the impression it was a bit rough round the edges.

Great value for money - I played pretty well and will be coming back again.

The course and the golf were good value and recommended. I am 71 and I found the hills a little too much.

Considering this is a municipal golf course (hard to believe) the golf is both challenging and very rewarding

Greens receptive and fast considering rainfall recentre. Some casual water but in very good overall condition.

Great layout, favouring a drawer of the ball. Greens are lovely. Tees very uneven; fairways with lots of rabbit holes; bunkers have more stones than sand and are poorly defined; staff do not do constructive criticism.

Course was in fantastic condition and the greens were impeccable.

However being stuck behind 3 society day 4 balls from the 3rd hole onwards ruined a good golf experience.

They lacked course knowledge and etiquette, failing to rake bunkers and leaving cigarette butts on the tee boxes.

There was no sign of a course marshall and no number to call for slow play. A typical 3 hour 10 minute round for 2 players took 4 hours 35.

That said it was in great nick however staff didn't seem bothered about our concerns.

Reluctant to return. All courses should have a slow play hotline

The course was in excellent condition throughout with smooth quick greens. Challenging but you are able to score well if you keep the ball in play. A good mix of holes. Thoroughly enjoyable.

A good value course. Well maintained for the price you pay and nice bar. Would advise them to get rid of what they call the 'short game area' it's pretty disappointing/ shocking when compared to the average course facilities and take away from what is a nice course.

Got a great deal - Hot Deal for a Sunday afternoon(3pm) only £12.00. Course was in very good condition - only grumble was that the bunkers were not consistent and a bit stony.

Lots of undulations that meant you had to be accurate.

Although people were on the course we had no-one in front or behind us - very relaxed.

Would thoroughly recommend this course and will visit again

I enjoyed our game yesterday, thought it was a really lovey course. I had a good game, some really nice holes a few tricky one too. Overall an enjoyable course and experience.

Far exceeded my expectations, nice greens rolling well, but need to get the stones out of the bunkers.

I played the course with my sons. They were both very impressed with the course and it is often difficult to please them. The course was in great condition. They are keen to play there again soon.

A great layout course but greens and tee boxes in bad condition and the bunkers a very poor lots of stones and some large rocks which coursed damage to a couple my clubs.

The course was in first class condition after the rain we had the evening before greens and fairways exclent , bunkers had a fair bit of water from previous day's rain but didn't stop the enjoyment . Friendly staff in pro shop and bar . Looking forward to our next visit .

What a little gem, course was empty however it is winter!!

Will be back in the summer period, I think it will be a challenging course.
