Stevenage Golf & Conference Centre - Bragbury Course

Course off the tee boxes was good, conditions was good. Greens are a bit scratchy. The tee boxes are terrible, no level lie so you either have the ball above or below your feet. Looks like they are building a few new ones, but the ones they have need to be addressed as they really let the course down. Some interesting holes and the layout is quite good. Make sure you have enough drink, no places to find water out on the course.

Excellent over all, but there are 2 problems. The bunkers have hardly any sand in and are rock hard. They should be classed as GUR. And all the tee boxes are atrocious atm. No grass and every one of them has a ridge of ground through the middle and all are not level. Every where you stand your at an angle. Fix these and it will be a great course.

They’ve changed the layout since I last played it and it just doesn’t play as well. The 9th takes you away from the clubhouse which feels wrong. They haven’t completed work to some tee boxes and some holes feel like you’re crossing over with other holes. Don’t think they should be charging full price at the minute.

The changes to the course seem good once all the work is finished. The greens need so work, but overall great experience

Was my first time playing here, if it wasn’t for the fact my garmin watch didn’t work with the new layout it would have been a better experience as well as ongoing work to tee boxes and the course in general. I would say in a few months time as it grows back in it will be even better. Will go back in a few months to see.

I played in April and it’s still in really poor condition. I guess you get what you pay for but this could be a great course if someone actually invested a bit of money.

Some of green closed off and the placement of replacements holes were not going

A number of holes the green was not in use and the hole was put in the middle of the fairway where you can’t really use a putter. I understand it’s winter and maybe there’s repairs, but the golf course should have made that known. Paying full price with a number of greens not in use is slightly poor in my opinion

First time playing here. Course in great condition apart from tee boxes which weren’t very flat and seemed to have a hump going down the length of them. Rest of the course was great and well looked after. Had a great day here and will be returning.

Overall a nice course, but tee boxes were basically sand and need a lot of TLC. Fairways were average. Greens were good.

I like the course greens in excellent condition due to all the rain lately as the fairways as well. Main issue for me was slow play , and maybe a little pricey for a public course which seems to have gone up quite a lot in the last year or so.

Good layout, with some interesting holes. Only down side was the state of the tee blocks, really let’s the course down. Very few seem flat, level never mind the divots. Greens were well looked after though.

Not played here due to moving away 7 years ago. Course in fantastic condition. Lots of variety in both front and back 9.

Will definitely travel back down to play again this year.

Greens have craters like the moon and the tee boxes give you vertigo.
