Just Poor

Whilst appreciating golf courses have only just been reopened due to Coronavirus, took the opportunity of playing a new course for me.

Was greeted in Car Park by man in car, who advised that they sold nothing to golfers, no tees, no balls, no refreshments. We are just a golf course!?

As we had arrived with 30 mins to spare, quickly drove down into town and grabbed some drinks.

Found the layout poor amd a course that was literally thrown on the side of a hill.

Conditions not great, but will take into account recent lockdown.

In comparing cost of £18 for 18 holes and £12 for 9. I dont spose you will find much cheaper, but in relative terms, compared to other courses, u are paying to walk on around a hill and acknowledge the view.

Will i play here again? No, sorry

Should be shut down

Possibly one of the worst courses I’ve ever played. I’m very much in favour of short 9 hole courses to encourage those taking up the game but this course is poorly laid out and bordering on dangerous. Many holes have blind tee shots and then crossing fairways which mean balls are flying everywhere! I think they should look at the space they have and redesign the whole thing. The maintenance was also pretty poor but forgivable given the type of course.

Winter morning

Arrived early to play, some snow was still visible on the hills. Very trick course with good layout. Excellent green considering the time of year. Would definitely come back. Really enjoyed it !

Golf review

First time playing here, we did 9 holes and thought it was a good level in terms of the challenges involved.

Speedy checking in and pace of play was good as well. For the price booked via tee times it was a bargain.

Perfect weather
Walked

Peacehaven 21st May 2017

Hot sunny day, very gentle breeze, blue skies, course freshy mown, fluffy bunkers, undulating greens. Good value for money, easy course but enjoyable to play. Slow 4 ball in front but not an issue due to the beautiful weather.
