Thoroughly enjoyed playing the course, it’s quite a flat course but nice features. I will definitely looking to play again
Poor greens, strange layout
Very odd how you have to double back on yourself for some holes and the greens had been really sanded And chanalled.which meant putts didn’t run true and the ball hopped if you putted across the grain..
Nowhere near as good as Leek, the previous course we had played for the same money!!
Greens disaster
Hollow tinning in progress fine
The greens had not been spiked but lacerated by A poorly set gadget which has literally torn the greens very fabric making them a nightmare to putt on - members must be livid
Very disappointing - looking at the right ups we thought were in for a treat - not so
Ball losing rough close to fairways
Some long walks to next tees -dangerously crossing Other fairways - so some course layout issues
Does this course want visitors?
Course is OK for the money, maybe a little busy but expected on a Sunday.
Why is the lady in the pro-shop so agressive when you arrive if booked via teetimes? If they don't want visitors then don't advertise! If you do then expect people to book via this route.
Nice course, poor greeting
Apart from some of the greens looking tired and little sand in bunkers the course was in nice condition.
The woman on reception when we first arrived was unaccommodating and rude, she seemed to take exception that we’d booked through GN instead of direct.
Excellent!
Great condition and much better than some others recently played. The course is tricky if you are not familiar with the layout, watch out for the hidden water at the 17th! Really enjoyed it, thanks
Very unwelcoming
Got there and the women in the golf shop looked at me like I was lost. Told me rudely to took my polo shirt in and basically looked for any excuse to not let us on because we’d booked on the hot deal on golf now. Thought the days of old farts running every club were over. Very poor because it has put me off trying new courses if you get treated like they clearly don’t want you there.
Pryors Hayes
Played here 3 times in last 3 months. Course is always immaculate. Big wide fairways and rough is kept short. Relatively flat course, with some challenging holes. Greens run true.
Good true greens
Good summer day, course was in good shape. Greens were true.
Pro shop staff helpful to a degree due to COVID-19, understandable.
But could not issue a pull trolly as the tokens were to much to clean/ sanitise?
Maybe a few could be taken out of the stand and issued as needed, sanitised by the user with the cleaning equipment provided?
.
We socially distanced and enjoyed the course
Would recommend to all to check it out.
Very busy
Booked as a single player, big mistake. Course was very busy with mainly four balls. Played about 5 holes before asking the 2 ball behind me to join up which was good as one was a member and gave good advice on how to play certain holes. Really enjoyed the course, good variety of holes with options on how to play from the tee. Will go back but I will take friends with me to make up a four ball
Course in great condition
Very busy day predominantly made up of visitors by my reckoning but pace was pretty good considering. Course in great condition very well maintained and particularly enjoyed the greens which were in very good condition . Pryors is always a reliable option for a good game of golf on a fun course.
Excellent course in Cheshire
Never played Pryors Hayes prior to present lockdown. On golf reopening found it on golf now and thought give it a try. Played there weekly ever since. Course is in excellent condition, greens are again in very good condition. Course gives all levels of player a challenge without it being too difficult. Fairways fairly wide to accommodate those wide off the tee.. The opening par 5’s give you the chance of par or better.. Staff on arrival are friendly to visitors and explain course layout. Obviously unable to comment on facilities at present but look good. Highly recommended for all golfing levels.
Very good course & great value
The course was in excellent condition & really good challenge.
Good course for any standard golfer with some nice signature par 3 holes... try it, you won’t be disappointed!
