Nice test
Really enjoyable round. Some annoying bits of water so would recommend buying a course guide to avoid frustration when you think you have nailed a shot and end up in some water you had no idea was there. Apart from that this is a nice club with some really well thought out holes.
Lovely Cheshire course
The course is playing really good. Welcome is friendly. Fairways decent and cut well. Greens good considering months of lockdown. Course gives you a chance to play well as welcomed by 2 par 5s initially, to get the swing going. Enjoy this course as it’s never overly busy and early starters get trouble free golfing usually. Would recommend for most levels of golfer esp higher handicaps.
Never tried amenities hence can’t comment.
Worth a visit.
Nice course layout - not many where there are 2 par 5's straight off. Greens were a bit disappointing in places mainly because people don't repair pitch marks. Not the Clubs fault admittedly so shame on you if you don't repair yours. No excuse for it. Would visit again.
Nice course friendly staff
Played Pryors Hayes the first day after lockdown and again on 12th April and already we can see the improvement what 2 weeks ground maintenance can do. The fairways were shorter allowing bit of run and also the greens were a bit slicker in 4-6 weeks time I expect the course to be in top condition. I’ve played here about 4/5 times in the last 12 months and always found the staff helpful and courteous. If we lived closer we would certainly consider the membership offers.
Awesome conditions around the course
The course was near perfect, staff member was friendly and helpful.
Group 2 ahead were slow, to much talking on before each hole and at the end of each, refused to let group ahead of us play through, first time we have encountered this , normally great pace of play.
Always a good course to play
Good round and glad to be back playing. Course was busy both in front and behind us, with a couple of fourballs ahead of our two ball. No hurry from either of them and did not let us through either. Maybe not enough space between the tee off times caused the congestion from about hole 7. So slow play but course in decent condition.
Average course
Long boring course and conditions were just average. Won't be going back again
Good track
Very welcoming played with a couple of junior members who helped me with course knowledge course was in great condition and the greens were some of the best ive played on beautiful views will definitely play again when im up this way
Good course, enjoyable round, even if a bit boggy!
Enjoyed a Christmas Eve round of golf in sunny, if cold conditions! After all the rain over the last few weeks, it did well to be open, and all holes open too. There were a lot of boggy places and it was generally heavy underfoot but that was mainly on the walks from greens to the next tee. The greens were fine, if a little long (which you'd expect) and as they wouldn't have been able to get machines onto the course at the moment, it played well. The course was a nice layout, good mixture of holes with water features etc. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The clubhouse is very nice too. Would love to come back when it is drier and playing a bit more 'normal'!
Pryors Hayes
The course was wet, but given the amount of rain we have had that wasn’t surprising. A torrential downpour on the morning didn’t help.
But all the greens were open and in pretty good condition too. We played at 13:00, it was a busy day with lots of four balls out and despite all that the course was ok.
Plenty of variety and the course gives everyone a chance, lots of variety.
Definitely play there again.
Wet!!
The fairways were very muddy but at this time of year could not expect too much more. Pace of play ver6y slow due to slow 4 balls and had to miss out 3 holes due to darkness descending.
Pre lockdown round
We grabbed a quick round here before the latest lockdown started and we had a cracking day!
Weather report was awful but we avoided rain until the 18th fairway. There had been a lot of rain before we arrived but the course seemed to cope pretty well, although a little muddy where people had been walking.
Greens all in decent condition
As a beginner this course had a nice mix of challenge with long drives and a good number of shorter holes too.
Fairly easy to navigate your way around between holes although on a couple the signs that show the hole layout seem to face the wrong way, and on the 11th its by the white tee, which is a long way from the yellows. But with an app to check it wasn't the end of the world.
£23 seemed a little on the high side.
Friendly staff in the pro shop and bar after, will definitely play again, should be awesome in summer
Cracking open course
Played today with a friend. The course is very open, with the majority of tree lined holes still offering forgiveness for the slicer. It's a nice and flat course with some interesting par 3's to test the more experienced player. There is a little practice green just before the first tee, but unfortunately no driving range that we could see to warm up before going out. Despite this, I absolutely loved the round, and will definitely be returning next year!
