Nice course slow play
Enjoy the course, would play again. Played twice and both times the round took 5 hours.
Greens very poor
Played here regularly in the past and it's the best time to play this time of year and yet found the greens very poor and that's something I have never experienced here tee box's not great think it's little bit pricey.....
Very Good
Was a member here for several years starting when there was a portacabin for the clubhouse.
Played here many many times since and have never seen the course in better condition-especially given there was 2" of rain on the previous Wednesday.
Practice green superb and the whole course was in good condition.
Ssslllooowwww
Don't offer GolfNow tee times on your busiest time of the year, charity golf day. 2hrs 30 to get to the 9th hole then 4 groups waiting to tee off. We had to walk off, after 8 frustratingly slow holes.
Unplayable!
Please don’t take this as a rant, quite simply the course shouldn’t of been opened. Water on most greens which wouldn’t of been in average condition anyways to be honest!I don’t thing the course seen a mower for a few days, fairways covered in leaves, never lost so many balls before. It was like a quagmire in places! Really disappointing and a waste of money.
Golf
Course a bit boggy all greens & tee's as normal , lost 3 balls due to plugged & leaves worth £30, great in the summer
Way too slow!
Been a few years since I played here but booked a 2 ball through Golf Now. Greens in very good condition for the time of year, some areas a little wet/boggy under foot but generally in good condition.
Main problem yesterday was the amount of people that had been packed onto the course. Over 4.5 hrs for our round and constantly waiting on every tee. Feel the course haven’t managed that well and have just tried to make as much £ as they could. 8 min gaps to tee times when it’s packed with society golf just doesn’t work in my opinion.
Nice easy walking parkland course
Course was in pretty good condition overall.
The course is mostly flat so easy on the legs for the majority of people playing.
Had to wait on a few holes when we caught up with the ladies competition.
They seem to go after 9 holes so back nice pace of play improved, except for my military standard of golf 😄
Great Course - Recommended for Golfers of all Abilities
Great course to play which was in excellent condition despite the recent hot weather. The greens were too hard though making approach shots very difficult. Also on a couple of holes there is a long walk from the green to the next tee.
Course is very enjoyable to play and can be enjoyed by golfers of all abilities. We will definitely return.
Lovely course
Big fan of this course - not the longest, but still testing due to it’s good layout and thick (ish) rough.
Only criticism was the number of pitch marks on the greens - not so much a criticism of the course but of other golfers.
Nice clubhouse for a pint afterwards too!
We are disappointed that you did not enjoy your round with us at the weekend, however, you still managed to play the 18 holes and did not say anything when finishing your round.
As you know by the weather over the last few months its been difficult to get mowers out onto the course due to the soft ground. All parkland courses are suffering in the area but we where still open for play.
We had many visitors on the day plus a society that enjoyed the course and gave no complaints.
We feel its a harsh comment to say it was a waste of money when no complaint was made on the day or even a refund was requested.
