Father & Son Golf Day
As a two ball sandwiched between two foursomes, we were never under pressure to speed up play and enjoyed a nice, four hour, round of golf, something we had not been able to do for almost 2 years! The tees, fairways and greens were all in very good condition. The bunkers were also very tidy and a mobile unit was touring the course and tidying any that weren't. The weather intervened with a short, very sharp, shower on the 17th tee, which soaked us both, but did not spoil the round
Gem of a course
Cracking course in fine condition. Rough was a little long for me but that said, I could’ve aimed straighter! Some challenging dog legs to test all abilities with mature scenery throughout.
Great Value For Money
A very lush green course, that is very pleasing to the eye. The fairways were in excellent condition and the rough just the right length to punish you for missing the fairway but meaning the only option is to take a wedge to just get the ball back on the fairway.
The tees were a little uneven and slightly inconsistent but I was able to find a decent place to tee off on every hole. I'd highly recommend this course at the £17 it cost for the round.
Nice little course
Luckily GolfNow put me with another3 people who had played the course before as I would not have known where to go
Course could do with signs pointing to next hole and a map of each hole showing distace to run out etc.
Other than that I thoroughly enjoyed the round
Ramsey
Good course, could do with map on tee box so u have a bit more of an idea of obstacles and distances
Great course
First time playing this course.
Very good range of holes.
Staff especially helpful.
Will 100% be returning
Ramsey
Overall in good condition and greens best they have been for sometime
Nice and easy for beginners
It’s a fairly open course but interesting enough to keep it competitive
Ramsey Golf Club
For an average golfer this is a good, fair, golf challenge.
The low stroke index par fours are a real challenge with some really nice holes which demand ball positioning rather than blasting the ball miles.
Some good par threes.
Greens were true.
Get into trees and life gets tough.
Bunkers need to be re-sanded - I was hitting through to mud and this made you unable to pop the ball up for short shots.
More holes need to indicate the 200 and 150 yardage into the green to help golfers.
Great experience
Played here recently for the first time as a one ball after reading the positive reviews. The golf pro in the shop was very welcoming and helpful. Played the first 2 holes and caught up with a 3 ball who kindly asked me to join them. It turned out it was the club captain and vice captain ! They couldn't have been nicer. The guys really helped me as a first timer at the course, giving advice on where to aim and how to play the 'blind tee shot' holes.
The course was excellent, not long but not easy, lots to think about from the tee with well positioned hazards. Greens were a little slow but they were due to be cut the following day.
If the course was a little closer to my house, I probably would've enquired about membership !
I'll certainly be returning at some point in the near future and would have no issue recommending ramsey to a friend.
