About
White Bluff opened in the early 1990s along the shores of one of Texas’ most productive fishing lake, Lake Whitney, and now sports two outstanding Bruce Lietzke-designed courses, plenty of accommodations, and the resources to make your lake time productive while on weekend excursions to the area.
The Old Course, considered the easier of the two tracks because of its generous fairways, still features the majestic oaks that are so prominent to this region of Texas. The front side is flat and allows you the chance to get warmed up for the scenic back nine. This back side, highlighted by views of Lake Whitney, offers more elevation changes and Hill Country scenery.
No. 12 (400 yards) is tough because is plays uphill and requires the tee shot to carry water, but No. 13 is the signature--a 160-yarder that overlooks a ravine and the lake and is the perfect introduction to the creek that impacts play on the next few holes.

Enjoyed the course
It’s a tough course but very fair. For winter golf greens were excellent, fairways were very good. I will play here whenever possible.
Beautiful golf course
This is one of my favorite courses to play.Always in great shape and pace of play is always fast.It felt like we had the course to ourselves.Looking forward to playing it again soon before the cold winter weather hits this part of Texas.
Very solid course with brand new carts
The fairways were in great shape!
The greens had a little winter damage remaining but generally were nice though seemingly a little slow.
Tee boxes definitely had some rough spots but by no means did it affect play.
The lake views as some mention are basically non existent as trees have grown considerably on most holes. The homes on the course are nothing to look at.
Had one house that had automatic sprinklers that came on if you got close to their yard. Problem being was that it went off while we were driving past on the cart path! Those folks must be a ton of fun at parties.
Worth the money? Yes
Worth the drive…? Probably not
Old Course, old problems
Great challenge, beautiful setting, some tough holes on the back nine. Stay in the fairway. It's a great place to play.
Love White Bluff Golf
White bluff is deff a hidden gem. I love playing both the old and the new. The greens are rolling true but have some spotting from the freez we got a few months back.
Only.negative I will say is I am a single golfer most of the time and golf now.makes.me.buy 2 at least I can't buy just one tee time. Someone please get this changed.
Very challenging course
I have to drive 50 miles to play this course but it’s worth the drive.Love the layout and the course is in great shape.Look forward to playing again soon.
Winter Round
This course is amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed the difference from the front nine to the back. Loved the hills, views & vistas we encountered. Would have been 5-star rated but no gps on carts made it tough to navigate for a 1st timer. Will play this course again, mainly in the spring/summer to really take in it’s beauty. One hour drive from DFW but sure nuff worth the drive.
