About
White Bluff opened in the early 1990s along the shores of one of Texas’ most productive fishing lake, Lake Whitney, and now sports two outstanding Bruce Lietzke-designed courses, plenty of accommodations, and the resources to make your lake time productive while on weekend excursions to the area.
The Old Course, considered the easier of the two tracks because of its generous fairways, still features the majestic oaks that are so prominent to this region of Texas. The front side is flat and allows you the chance to get warmed up for the scenic back nine. This back side, highlighted by views of Lake Whitney, offers more elevation changes and Hill Country scenery.
No. 12 (400 yards) is tough because is plays uphill and requires the tee shot to carry water, but No. 13 is the signature--a 160-yarder that overlooks a ravine and the lake and is the perfect introduction to the creek that impacts play on the next few holes.

Great hidden gem
First time playing this course. Well worth the hour drive from Waco. Course was in excellent condition and had a very challenging layout! I’m so excited to go back and play it again!

We were looking for other options in the Waco area. White Bluffs-Old Course is going to be our go-to course. We loved it! Playing at the end of December, the Bermuda was dormant but it was fluffy and made easy to hit lies. The greens were in great condition and rolled smoothly and fast. Staff were friendly and courteous. We are already making plans to return! P.S. The views and deer on the course were an added bonus.
They were friendly from picking us up at the car to our final hole! They bent over backwards to help us because we have never played here. We enjoyed them so much we set up another tee time
Thoroughly Impressed
Both my brother and I have played a large number of courses in the DFW region, including PGA Tour courses, and this course deserves praise. From the moment we pulled up and were met at the car, we couldn't help but notice the hospitality of not only the staff, but of the players as well. The course itself was a nice little challenge. I was hoping to see more bluffs, but I guess I set my expectations too high. Even some of the little details, like having soap and paper towels in the on course bathrooms is something that we don't see too often, but this course delivered! We drove from around 50 minutes away, and we definitely don't regret it!
