About

White Bluff opened in the early 1990s along the shores of one of Texas’ most productive fishing lake, Lake Whitney, and now sports two outstanding Bruce Lietzke-designed courses, plenty of accommodations, and the resources to make your lake time productive while on weekend excursions to the area.

The Old Course, considered the easier of the two tracks because of its generous fairways, still features the majestic oaks that are so prominent to this region of Texas. The front side is flat and allows you the chance to get warmed up for the scenic back nine. This back side, highlighted by views of Lake Whitney, offers more elevation changes and Hill Country scenery.

No. 12 (400 yards) is tough because is plays uphill and requires the tee shot to carry water, but No. 13 is the signature--a 160-yarder that overlooks a ravine and the lake and is the perfect introduction to the creek that impacts play on the next few holes.

Tough but Fair

Course is well maintained and clean. Great for a day out as long as you like some challenge in your game. The course is pretty tight off tees beings its lined on most fairways with houses.

White Bluff Golf Club Old Course

This course was very challenging. Every hole something that tried to make you miss the green. One of thr par 3s was super hard. The deer added to the beauty of the course we saw quite a few. The pro shop wasn’t stocked due to COVID.

Pretty Course

I played with several friends and we all agree that the narrow fairways provided a challenge for us. The majority of holes are not too long for their par ratings, but shot accuracy is a must here. Tree lined tight fairways force precision and planing to play well here. I will definitely play there again, but wait until my accuracy improves.

The greens are maturing!!!

The greens just recently got.punched. still rolled pretty good. This course has come along way since reopening. Great layout, They are puting water to the course.

Nice but like the new course better

The old course was a little narrow on some holes, had some challenging blind shots and all around nice greens. The greens held the ball fairly nicely considering a nice hot TX day... which was my only knock of the new course, which was very challenging to get your ball to stick... both courses have some doglegs and blind shots to contend with. Over all I just enjoyed the layout of the new course more.
