Not as described
Wanted to play 9 holes for for of us. We didn't have time for a full round. Went to the GN app and was offered several local options for the same money. Chose this one and booked and paid for it.
Arrived at the course 20 mins early and was rudely told we weren't booked in. We were sent to the practice 6 hole course all par 2/3s. Was a lot to charge us for such a short practice round. So we piaid for 9 holes on the course and got 6 short holes in. Quite dissatisfied and not as described and staff didn't 'get it'. Shame.
Poor experience
Litter on the course and damaged clubs loaned out to me. Felt unloved and staff were not welcoming - always seems to busy disinterested when approached.
Couldn’t see where the bar was as no signs. Found it in the driving range.
Booked 9 holes but only had 6?!
Very unimpressed considered the hotel is so highly rated.
Great practice facility
Reston offers a nice chance to dial in distances for your irons.
Tricky short course.
Very good course to practice pitching and chipping. Plenty of hazards, sand and water. Greens nicely kept.
Lovely little course
Lovely little course, enjoyed myself and i will go back again, hopefully better my score, lost a few balls in the water but lots if fun.
Fun little playground
The short course: what to say.
The staff seemed more interested in their own banter than serving the queue. Then they didn’t really offer a welcome or even an indication where the course was.
The couple in front had all the gear but seemed to be playing a policy of laying up on 60 yard (for her) holes. Painfully slow
The greens were not great at all- which given my reason for playing was to get some short game practice…
Finally, minor gripe: the course being incredibly short to start with only offered two full club shots. The tee markers were so far forward…
At £11 for 6 holes I’d expect a higher quality of presentation. Still, 5 pars was good practice for my midweek comp.
