Formerly known as St. Mellion International Resort - Nicklaus Course.

St Mellion International is set in 450 acres of tranquil Cornish countryside, St Mellion really is a golfers paradise and the ideal venue for a relaxing break. Established in 1976 by Herman Bond, St Mellion is now recognised as a leading west country venue for business and pleasure. The championship golf courses have gained an international reputation and have played host to the Benson and Hedges International on six occasions. 1997 saw the opening of AERO at St Mellion and it's top flight leisure facilities have been heralded as the best of their kind in the SW of England. AERO includes such facilities as two pools, a steam room, sauna, spa-pool, a fully equipped state of the art fitness suite as well as a skin care and spa centre.

'One of the finest galleried golf courses in the world' - Jack Nicklaus - 'I knew it was going to be everything I hoped for and more. St Mellion is potentially the finest golf course in Europe'. When perhaps the greatest golfer ever to have trodden the fairways pays such eloquent tributes to a course, the golfing world is bound to sit up and take notice. A fine layout has resulted in the staging of the B+H International Open, 6 celebrity golf classics and the tournament players championship (twice) testifies to the quality of the first course.

From the encouragement in the Pro Shop to the final approach shot, I couldn’t find a bad thing to say about my experience here, apart from my own particular set of golfing skills!

A wet St Mellion

Although the course had some areas that were soaking wet, the areas that counted, tees, greens, fairways were excellent, what a test of golf, amazing course layout, will definitely be back to try the summer version, can’t be many better £40 green fees out there and well done to St Mellion for keeping it affordable

Golf Now - does not work with St Mellion Golg Course

Drove 80 miles to get to course, only to find no booking in my name and club said they have not dealt with Golf Now for 2 years, tried ringing golf now all day with no response and eventually spoke with them this morning to get my credit card reimbursed so not a good experience !

Fortunately the course were able to get us a round but a couple of hours after we arrived

Fantastic course

Very enjoyable round on the Nicklaus, the Course condition was fantastic and a great variety of holes making you really think on every shot.Only negative was that the starter was nowhere to be seen and the first hole is blind downhill and there were no directions on the scorecard either so I'd no clue how the hole was shaped. I thought I hit a good drive but when I got over the hill found that the hole shaped to the right and the ball was lost.

Great Course & relaxed atmosphere

Initially we were booked on the other course not the Signature course as requested. This was quickly resolved and we were given a quick tour of where to go for the 1st Tee. Forget to pick up a course planner which would have helped on the first as a blind tee shot awaited. We guessed right and what an opening hole !! The Greens were true and firm and quite quick for the time of year . The course has quite a bit of undulation and is quite tight in places with a need to be accurate off the tee. Streams and lakes come into play on a number of holes and having to hit over water into a head wind awaits you if you are feeling brave. In all a great experience not only the quality of the course but the relaxed atmosphere of the place.Well worth a visit and great value for money with a later tee time reducing the costs.
