Tavistock Golf Club

The course was in excellent condition considering the rain that we have had. The greens were great.

We had a dry day with a cold wind but a very enjoyable experience.

My only gripe was Golf Now changed me twice

I played with my son as a two ball but was charged for 2 x £50.

Lovely course in great condition very open and exposed lovely views was very windy on the day so it was a real challenge but overall excellent place lovely clubhouse and lovely staff.

This course has lovely views all over Dartmoor. Although I'd booked on a busy day with a Ladies competition taking place ahead of me, everything was well managed, there were no undue delays and there was a friendly atmosphere from start to finish. The course itself was interesting and made excellent use of its landscape. Would be very pleased to play here again, especially in such glorious sunshine as there was today.

Finally had the time to play this course! Upon arriving unsure of where to go the staff were all friendly and courteous. The club house is a little strange being right on the road, but this adds to its uniqueness. The course was in beautiful condition even though it was extremely busy. The greens varied I found in speed which if you were playing a little more seriously than myself might be annoying but was no problem. Only suggestions I would add was possibly increasing the number of driving nets, as there was only one. Also a few more signs of where the next tee or green is as this cause myself and fellow players who had not played here before a little confusion. Overall, I would definitely recommend this course to others and will definitely be playing it again!

Amazing golf day course was playing really well greens where really well managed and fairways can't fault it. Friendly staff and pro shop well stocked with everything you would need. good practice area putting and driving range will be returning again very soon.

Tavistock golf course is a nice fairly flat course. Signage for the course is non existent and parking is limited. We followed the post code from the website and the sat nav took us into the ajoining housing estate. We had to ask a local for directions. This was the first time we played here, the staff were friendly however for a first time visit there was no course map on the score card. We had to rely on following the group in front of us. The course is nicely layed out and fairly flat although there are some deceptive inclines. Not a too challenging course. Would go back again.

Wide open fairways with good bounce. Greens in excellent condition.

The course was in excellent condition from the fairways through the rough and the greens. Bunkers were fair and sand was of good quality enabling good shots to be played. Fairways and rough is kept down by the sheep and ponies which are on the course. Some tricky pin positions on some tricky greens and I would have benefitted from an earlier round. However first time played had a gross 80 from white tees. Pro was very helpful giving us a map of the course. Practice area is very small but there are nets. Loved the course and the chicken burger afterwards.
