Lovely course!
Great course, had an enjoyable round, lots of features and challenging enough for all levels. Staff really friendly and facilities are very good although the pro shop was closed for refurbishment. Highly recommend!
Flat and not a lot of trouble other than a numb r of water hazards
Course in good condition and a very enjoyable round
Looking good
Played the course last year and I would have given it 3 out of 5. The club is now back in the original owners hands and you can see the improvement especially on the greens and fairways. I will be returning soon.

Fantasy golf course, which is a good test for the average golfer. Some of the best kept greens in Essex.
Best golf courses in Essex
Brilliant course with some nice features. Greens and fairways immaculate condition. Nice putting green, practice nets and chipping area. Staff in the pro shop and bar very friendly and obliging.
Well woth the money
Played this afternoon in scorching heat.
Fairways very dry and brown, understandable as theres been no rain for nearly 2 months.
The Greens were very good, extreamly fast and very receptive. Although there were a few brown patches on them, scorched by the sun this didnt effect them to much if at all.
Practice putting green in great condition also a chipping area and dring net
All in all well worth the £20 fee

Love this course which is in excellent shape and has helpful, friendly staff.

Nice course but no information that there is a large group in front of you,
5 hours for a round is a no go

Abbots Course 12th March 2017
Nice course enjoyed playing lots of water and risk reward shots and tree lined throughout. Have to be fairly straight off the Tee. Yellows were playing at the back which was good and no mats.
Good course, shame about amenities
Given the recent weather the course was in excellent condition - not temp greens or tees. Greens were very good.
Came off the course seeking a coffee or a pint and everything closed.

one of the best in essex
exellent value through tee off times uk original tee off time quoted 11.22 but was put back to 11.57 for what ever reason but no biggie overall had a good day tried to get food after game but kitchen was closed sandwitches were avalible.
This course has a great layout.
Such a nice course and layout, the greens where in very good condition. And would certainly go back and play this course again.
