Course great but greens very poor hardly any grass

Have played here before and been ok . 18 greens bad due to dryness a ladies 4 ball held up play not allowing other golfers through . On the back 9 there were four groups on the same hole . We did go to the shop after front 9 to complain but no one was there . Certainly wont be returning

The Greens were excellent if a little inconsistent. Considering the weather it was a good round

good pace of play - staff friendly - i do not believe it warrants the £45 round - no driving range but does have nets and a putting green - which did noit replicate the greens on the course at all - I know we are playing in a severe dry spell however i play weekly and this is the worst course ive played so for for Tee box and greens being dead - I understand the fairways etc but at a minimum try to at least keep the greens and tee boxes in fair condition - greens were unplayable - punched and aerated, dry and cracking - anything on the green was a guess - I feel like courses could adjust the pricing to justify the condition - the course im assuming would normally be a fair test however in this climate its a guess - fairway balls go missing - even intentionally laying back tee shots to hit the fairway would be lost. the round pace was fair its a bit hilly in some parts. a good challenge with bunkers and water - finished our round at around 5;20pm and were unable to get food or a draft beverage - this was upsetting as they still has tee times running, id expect the bar to be open and serving at least up to the last available tee time. I think the course needs work - I would not be back in a hurry. however had a good day none the least - better than being indoors.

Played as a single player on a busy Saturday, but the round only took just over three hours.... Was let through six times, each time by friendly and thoughtful members.

Course was parched but great fun, only hit driver twice and used irons on most holes as they were going miles!

Good value for the price I paid and highly recommended

We playesd this course as visitors to several courses in the area of Epping Forest and it became our favorite in the area and the price range of 30-50UKP. We received a warm welcome, the layout is interesting, with a good variation in fairway layout and difficulty. Fairways, greens and the soroundings are in a good condition and we will definitely come back when we are back in this area.

A lovely course, but the food in the club house was terrible and not great for entertaining guests after a round.

What a fantastic golf course, the greens were probably the best is Essex for a day ticket golf course

Overall yes good. Greens in good nick which is always important. Pace of play was slow due to a 4 ball, 3 groups ahead holding up play.

Nice golf for the money, very well kept and looked after. Considering a lot of greens across this area are struggling a tad! these are very good.

Shame about the staff in the bar, miserable and completely lacking basic manners.

Considering the high amount of rain over the past week, the course was well kept. Will 100% come back.

Course was completely waterlogged should never have been open

Probably the omly course that was open on the day and tbh it shouldnt of been .

Lovely layout but grerns werr saturated and very slippery

I very good looked after course challenging holes but well worth playing
