Not too sticky
Played 9 holes after a lot of rain. Trolleys were allowed and only the 1st hole was seriously muddy. Greens in good condition. Artificial tees but meant we weren't slipping on drives. Great value.
Nice course
With the bad weather of late I was expecting a boggy soggy course..However for a public course it was in really good condition. Better than most private clubs locally.
The bunkers were well maintained and for a public course this is rare..
Will be coming back for sure
Public walking on fairway
Too many members of the public walking on and through the course fairways
Good value cours
Great value for money.
Brilliant for a practice round.
Greens seem to be always spiked so always bumpy otherwise good.
Value for money
Course was in great condition and excellent value for money
Lots of potential, let down by poor maintenance
I would say 5/18 holes were fantastic on this course and a joy to play, but The others were let down by poor maintenance. A lot of the time I was sure if I was on the fairway or in the rough, as the fairway grass was so unkempt. If this issue was sorted, then it could be a lovely course to play. As it stands, I would pay the hot deal price of £14/15 a round to play, however i wouldn’t pay full price.
Average standard course but with some interesting holes
The greens are never good. This time they ere heavily spiked and were terribly bumpy. Putting was not enjoyable. Bunkers need sand also. Shame as the rest of the corse was playing well.
Nice Parkland course
This is a good course for the mid to high handicap.
The fairways are fairly generous and the rough manageable.
Green were in good condition
We played in very wet conditions which made it harder than it would be on a hot sunny day.
cheap but nasty
Nice layout and some interesting holes ruined by atrocious greens which were very slow and had been hollow tined but most of the holes hadn't been fully filled.
Good course for a public course although greens wer3 being treated for irrigation so not good surface to putt on
Good public course with a good tears - however the greens were being treated today which was unfortunate but would definitely recommend playing again
good condition
better than most courses in the area who charge double credit to the staff .
Rick
Nice course bit boggy it was closed the previous day due to lots of rain but for this time of year it was very good value for money greens were in excellent condition 18th fairway was really boggy but we had an enjoyable round and will definitely be back
Value for Money
One of the best courses in terms of value for money. Paid £11 on here. Fairway and rough all cut well, didn’t come across any places with no grass covering. Greens in good condition and roll well.
Would even pay the usual £19 and be very happy.
Wow - Great course, Great Value! Recommended
Where to start.... £11 green fee.
Course in fabulous condition and probably the best greens I've ever seen.
This is a fantastic maintained course and one you can really get stuck into with wide fairways and on the day pin positions that were very getable.
The course will punish you if you're weak off the tee - Danger right and left and as some holes are long distance from the tee is a big help.
Would strongly recommend, The Martial on duty a very pelasant man.
Well done all at Stockwood Park.
