Over booked
This course is becoming worse for pace of play. Minimum gaps between four balls , Constant waiting to take a shot no flow.God help a two ball or single player.
Course was littered with beer bottles and cans. A few rowdy groups who couldn't care less.Would of walked off early but I want to play what I paid for.
Course is generally pleasant for all level of golfers.
There are one or two challenging holes but generally comfortable for walking not hilly. Played twice and enjoyed the pace . Greens in really good condition.
The springs
Got a hot deal and was excellent value for a 12.44 tee time on Monday, course was really busy and we did come across 4 holes of waiting on the tee on the back nine.Course was in good condition and the greens were excellent, rolling true and a nice pace as were the fairways only down side a few tee boxes were not perfect and a lot of sand had been spread and uneven.
Too slow
Since becoming a resort course the pace of play is painfully slow. We used to play it a couple of times a year as its a lovely course. Sadly, the last two visits have not been enjoyable due to the pace of play. Previous visit took 5 hrs to play 15 holes, walked off the course . Unlikely to ever go back.
Great place
A great course, friendly people, decent greens and lots of good features. Great place
Great greens but painfully slow
Good course but let down by overbooking/too little time between tee times. 4.5 hour round on a weekday and no staff doing anything to hurry anybody up.
Great layout and value.
Played a midweek game as we were visiting nearby Oxford. A challenging and well.laid- out course, in good condition for the time of year. Nice clubhouse, but disappointed that no food was available before our game at midday. Overall, great value, and would happy to visit again.
Golf features
Course design is interesting and challenging enough for senior golfer. However, being 1st timer, direction to next teee should be more prominent. Certain holes no indication of where the next tee is.
Didn’t disappoint
This was my second time playing at the Springs golf course and I thoroughly enjoyed it once more. The condition of the greens and the fairways was exceptional and often provided some very picturesque vistas.
Good track, decent test
Front 9 has a it of a links feel. The back 9 is narrow and punishes poor shots particularly. Good test for most golfers and always in decent condition
Great value
As the title says I think this course is great value. Some lovely looking holes and every green is in tip top condition.
Great and friendly staff in the Pro shop and bar are an added bonus
First Class
As a recreational golfer I like to try new courses especially when there are Hot Deals available. The Springs came as a very pleasant surprise. First impressions were this course looked extremely well cared for. The clubhouse was welcoming and upmarket and the first view of the course itself was the 18th green as I made my way to the first tee. This is a well manicured course with inviting fairways and greens like a snooker table. The introduction to the first couple of holes was gentle but as we progressed the traps were beginning to take their toll . It’s very well laid out with extremely pleasant views on this mature course.
I will definitely be back and bringing colleagues who also deserve to be introduced to The Springs Golf Course.
Springs review
Good course that gets more difficult on last 9.
Helped that this time I was grouped with others good at looking for my golf balls.
Lot of debris on courses and fairways. Rough Grass looks longer and more dense than it is.
Loads of lost golf balls found
Some faster players play through.
