Played this course for first time,Pro in shop not very helpful,but apart from that a fabulous course in top condition considering the wet winter we've just had,greens in top notch condition,lots of sand,will definitely be going back,an excellent test

Will definitely play this again in the summer I bet the greens are like lightning

If you are within 30 miles of here make an effort and come play you won’t be disappointed

The course itself was in good condition the fairways were quite dry and the Greens were very good

The wettest parts of the course were the pathways between the holes

Played here a few times one of the best courses around greens were fast and true ball still getting run out on the fairways lovely setting good practice facilities just got caught behind a couple of slow three balls I think they were playing a comp but that is the first time it's been that slow played it about 7 times now always good.

Given the recent wet weather we've had in the past few weeks/months the course was in brilliant condition, the fairways were excellent and the greens were fantastic, highly recommend this course. The overall facilities and the staff from the pro's shop to the bar staff were great.

played this course many times over the years but would have to say i was dissapointed this time!

fairways and greens were in excellent condition as always but the first cut of rough was far to long searching for balls that shouldnt be lost slowed the game right up, also it was very slow going took 5 & 1/2 hours to complete and we were waiting on every tee box

Great all round. From the proshop to leaving the course I couldn't fault anything. Proshop staff were really friendly and helpful. The Course itself was in great condition and well looked after. Beautiful surroundings in the heart of Cheshire. Definitely worth playing no matter the cost.

Played as a 2 ball with my wife on a sunny day sandwiched between 2 x 3 balls.

Pace of play was good overall once away from the 2nd and 3rd blind shot holes.

Course is your typical 90s design with large bunkers. Greens were true and a good pace. Fairways well looked after.

Par 4 variations from 280 yard short to 450 yard long gives plenty of food for thought when plotting your way around.

All in all a very good days golf.

Didn't help that we had all winter greens which should have been told when booked

Excellent condition for Feb. No temps greens excellent. Quite a few blind shots so a course planner advised. Well mapped out hole to hole and tee boxes excellent. Nice touch on par 3''s with marker board and marker if your in a nearest the pin competition. Every hole has clean ball facility. Deffo back in summer.

Had a great round today at Vale Royal Abbey first time ever played the course in very good condition, greens were very challenging but can't fault the condition of the course for the time of year can't imagine what the greens would be like in the summer as they were fast today, Will be back very soon great place for a golf day out

Considering the weather in the previous weeks, No winter tees and no winter greens.

Greens are in great condition for the time of the year.

Fairways in great condition.

A nice treat. A hidden treasure.

Would play again.

Played with a couple of members who guided me on the holes and how to approach which very helpful otherwise there was no chance of scoring well.

Some holes are tricky and challenging. A course guide is recommended if playing for the first time. A GPS watch is not enough.

I've played Vale Royal before but not for a while and today just confirmed what I already knew . This is a superb golf course for all levels of golfer and in great condition for the time of year and compared to other courses I've recently played ! Staff are really friendly and welcoming and I'd definitely play there again !

Course in great condition given overnight rain. On full greens and tees ball rarely required cleaning as fairways in good condition.
