Waterlogged greens from small amount of rain
Unfortunately a 10 minute spell of rain on the 7th hole resulted in most of the greens thereafter being waterlogged to the point of being borderline unplayable. On the clubs website in its write up of the course it states that the greens have “natural free drainage” which clearly isn’t the case. Furthermore, not once during this period did we see any greens staff attempting to remove any of the standing water from the greens which was very disappointing given the price to play such a course. Overall a real let down.

20 minutes rain ruined greens
Greens looked good until we had a downpour, then from hole 7-18 there were puddles all across the green. No green keepers around and puddles made it impossible to putt properly. This was the case only after a 20 minute downpour.

Great day
First game of golf back after lockdown, the golf was a bit rusty but the course and staff were great. The day was made even better when on the 9th a buggy pulled up offering us complementary beers and snacks, what a lovely touch!!
