Vale Royal Abbey

Course was baked yellow due to recent hot weather but hard fairways made it fun and drives just kept going and going, played like a links. Greens in great condition and bunkers really playable with deep sand which you dont get everywhere. Highly recommended if not a bit pricey.

Course has a great layout with some narrow fairways and some open ones, great for all levels of player but a course you have to think and manage your way around, if it was a bit closer to home we'd definitely join this club.

Started as a wet day but finished as we teed off ...the course was in great condition and fair but tough if you hit it off line.

Greens were spot on and rolling true.

And enjoyable day was had by all...Will return again.

From the moment we arrived , we were greeted by such an impressive vista .

The extremely friendly and helpful staff only added to our enjoyment.

The course is both challenging and rewarding in equal measures , the quality and aesthetic design of the greens were a delight to play.

Overall we were unanimous in our decision that we would definitely return.

This course is top quality. Long holes, short holes, big fairway bunkers. fast true green with not a scratch on them. Would highly recommend

A beautiful course to play, all greens were consistent and played a good pace. A good mixture of open and narrow fairways to hit too, all being well maintained. On the course flyover you don't get to see some of the lovely lakes surrounding but it really made for a great round of golf. Course was a challenge whilst there still being holes you really are able to attack. Definitely returning this summer.

Love playing this course…. 2nd time I have played it … wish I lived closer… oh and montyyyyyyyy won me by 5 shots. I need to practice more

I have played this course over 20 times and I always love coming to Vale Royal. Always a pleasure and very friendly welcome.

The greens however on this last visit were in an extremely poor condition. Very bare in places and bobbly. I was expecting them to be in much better condition given the time of year and that the weather has been good over the last few weeks.

For this time of year and the wether we have had this corse was top class.

Some really challenging and fun holes.

Can not recommend this corse enuf, just play it

I wish I could write something bad about this place to avoid it getting busy in the summer hahaha. Truth is I can’t, course was in great condition considering the weather we’ve had. Greens up there with best in north west.

Greens quite fast and no problem with the fairways. A really good course that has matured well.

You're gonna need a blanket and suntan lotion, cause you're never gonna get off that beach.
