Golfer Reviews
Interesting parkland course.
Interesting parkland course. Greens in good condition, tees a little tired and some bunkers GUR. Bar and outside seating very good, small but adequate changing facilities.
Excellent course
Our group arrived almost 1.5 hours late due to joys of m25 but we were accommodated to get our round in.
The course itself is really well maintained, good layout and challenging at the same time. Fellow players on the course were friendly and helpful.
Definitely play here again.
This is an interesting & challenging course
The course has held up well to the re-opening and the extra use. It is a challenging and interesting course and one that I would recommend playing.
Great public course
Had a great time, played off white which made it 6.5k yards which was great, some well planned holes. All a bit on top of eachother though. Greens in very good condition though which is brilliant for the price!
Good set up needs some investment and a little rain
Greens are very good in general given the hot weather.Tee boxes and fairways (esp 11 & 12) need work and some rain.A course where you have to think of approach on several holes-easy start that is followed by some longer holes that are much more challenging
Great course
Great course, for some one new to golf there were a few tricky holes.
Course was good and in not to bad a condition for the amount of hot weather we had recently.
We played as a two ball and wasn’t held up at all
Great course
Played there 4 times now and the greens are always on great condition. Layout of the course is interesting and fun but testing too, club selection here is key to a good round. Will definitely play there again.
Not brilliant first impressions...
Turned up in time for a 5:14 tee that I had booked. Didn’t tee off until 5:40 due to the vast backlog. Seems no one is keeping tabs on the tee times and letting people onto the course whenever they turn up... took 2.5 hours to finish the first 9!
Course is ok, although the fairways are pretty poor. Greens were in fairly decent condition and playable.
Overall, it’s my first visit here and probably my last, a real shame as it has good potential.
Brentwood GC
Decent course some very tricky holes but just not maintained well enough for me, tee boxes where in a mess the fairways wasn’t really cut well and the greens where not to bad but staff very friendly
Diamond in the rough
You can see the bones of a very good course. Some great holes with interesting layout and nice views. A little rough around the edges with regards to condition, but with lock down etc I think a I’ll give them a break. Greens had been fertilised but were above average, a little slow but did hold the balll well. Tees and fairways also okay. Would play again.
Was nice course only problem the round was very slow and tee boxes were rock hard and greens were a lot slower maybe in need of some water apart from that layout was good enjoyed some of the difficult holes
Very enjoyable course.
I liked the fact that you had to think about club select off most tees, wasn’t just a case of taking driver/ three wood out the bag.
Very mature with beautiful trees & shrubs.
Good but slow play & players don't repair pitch marks
Good course with it in a decent condition. Unfortunately many novice golfers with a lack of consideration for others, resulting in slow play. Players need to also repair their pitch marks as otherwise the greens will soon suffer.
