Course was in fantastic condition given the amount of rain we’d had in the weeks up to the round… only playing 14 holes as the from 9 was being developed but thoroughly enjoyed the day!

I was allowed to book this through golf now with no warning that 5 holes were closed due to construction work on drainage , we asked at the clubhouse if we could play the extra holes on other parts of the course and was rudly told NO THAT WHY YOU HAVE IT AT DISCOUNT PRICES , WILL NEVER GRACE THIS COUSE AGAIN , golf now should advise people if course are under construction very disappointed

This course is a joke do not go , there is work going on this course there is only 14 holes that is on and there not up to much this corse is a joke please do not waste your money and golf now should be letting people know

Turned up and only 14 holes playable the shop professional wasn’t helpful at all I will play again if we get 18 holes .

4 holes closed 1 shortened to a par 3 , course maintenance is one thing but when your course looks like a building site and neglected then why is it even open?

What do you charge your members ?!

Once all the work is done no doubt it will improve the course massively in the winter.

But to be charged £30 for a round while the course is in this condition it’s unacceptable.

The pro said they tried to inform golf now , I don’t believe it for one minute they just want the tee booking.

Decent course with excellent roll on greens.

General condition of fairways and tee boxes good.

Some building works to improve drainage and new lake!

Members friendly and good pace of play, finished our round in under 4 hours.

Would recommend and will visit again.

I turned up to play today excited to participate in a nice round with a friend which we had paid when i got there the person in the shop had put us with two random people in a 4 ball despite the fact we paid for 2 ball only, undettered we set off with no map on the scorecard so as a visitor a lot of the holes arent so easy to find as i and my friend felt the course never flowed and not enough signage to get from one hole to another, the 12th hole was closed with no one in the shop making us aware of this before we tee'd off, course was well maintained.

Went back to West Derby after playing there a year ago and it was on a great deal at £15 for the round. I like the holes and it is a good parkland course with a variety of par 3s, 4s and 5s to suit all. Condition was very good and greens ran pretty nicely. Was really enjoying it until getting to the 6th. For some reason they have changed round the order of the 3 holes from the 6th to 8th and for me, it doesn't make sense! They were 3 good holes but putting them so you now play them the other way round as ruined them for me and its hard to get your eye for the hole. I'm sure they will have to do a lot of work to realign greens etc if they are keeping it like that, but it threw me a bit mid round. Back nice is nice and it's a nice run in to the clubhouse. I'd go back and play again but possibly not until the 'new' 6th-8th holes are sorted properly.

I didn't know what to think when arriving up but have to say this is a cracking course and amazing value for money. Greens are in superb condition.

Played in reasonable conditions a bit of light drizzle but generally warm and the sun was out on occasions.

Course was ok still a bit wet and muddy in places but fairways and greens were ok.

We struggled to navigate the 6/7th/8th holes as they are changing the layout and there was little or no signage fortunately we have played a few times so managed to work it .

The bar facilities are excellent and it would good to see it’s had a bit of a makeover since the last time I played there.

Front nine bit boggy in places. Greens good.

Ladies 4 ball in front then a couple more ladies 2 balls after that. After 3 holes Instructed to got to 7th by one of women ‘or your going to be waiting a long time’. Some Holes not signposted and a winter tee box still in use.

Back nine much better. Fairways and greens good. Waved through by a couple of older fellas. Pleasant ground staff and lad in club shop very helpful.

The course was closed the day before due to very heavy rainfall.

The greens were in pod condition and of good pace.
