Great midweek round
Really interesting lay out. Greens in great condition, fairways could have maybe been a little better kept. Challenging for a lower handicap, whilst also wide enough for a higher handicap to enjoy. Highly recommend.
Great value
Really enjoyable round. I’ve been playing for 12 months and this was a good test without being impenetrable. Very polite and friendly lad in the clubhouse who explained the course layout. Good pace of play, will definitely come back.
Good fun and good value course
Nice undulating course, with some challenging holes (esp given very windy conditions!). Greens in great shape. Fairways a bit bare and patchy in places - but otherwise a fun round and good pace of play
Fast greens
Nice course with a couple of yticky dog legs. Very dry in places but greens fast
Cheap and cheerful
The pro shop and bar are a little dated but the round was relatively cheap and the staff friendly and helpful. The course was open and not to challenging if you kept to the fairways. There was no one in front of us or behind us even though we had a two o clock tee off. Good to get a round in within three hours.
Expensive for average course
I played here today for the first time. I paid £45 for 18 holes online. The course was pretty average especially for the price I was charged. There were maybe 2 holes that felt worthy of the price bracket.
Course was quite dry but can't really be helped with the weather. Staff were extremely friendly and would definitely play again
Excellent greens
A good test for all abilities. While there are plenty of holes to hit driver the course doesn’t necessarily favour long hitters. A no frills course with lots of interesting holes. Have played courses twice as expensive and the greens here were right up there! Don’t be surprised if there’s a few “spectators” hanging around the 4th tee.
Pleasant
First time played here - course was dry and straw coloured due to lack of rain and just so happened to rain on the day had it pretty much to ourselves. You can really open up and use full range of clubs here. greens were good as were tee boxes. decent doglegs play straight but shaping shots too tempting not too! Drivers were very considerate crossing over other than a few people taking selfies on the last hole and a person in flip flops taking a call on 15th tee.
Very drivable but opted for 3 wood for placement . We were a 2 ball and hardly anyone in front or behind us - good thing about this place hardly any rough but on fringes then you're in the trees lost only 1 ball - the rough n long grass that is there is still playable nothing that a solid 9 or 5 iron can't handle. I'd like to go back soon and see it in shades of green. We were unsure if the clubhouse was open for drinks as it seemed deserted have to go upstairs. I've heard numerous times this place was up for sale - has potential to make it more inviting as first impressions you face a blank white wall like a backend of a workshop - nit-picking details but...
Very playable holes - 3rd hole first across the road requires a very selective shot as does the hole across the pond and can switch off and have an easy day
Good course
The speed of play was a little slow but to be expected I suppose as weather was good. The course is in good condition and has some challenges, overall a good game of golf.
a very pleasant walk
lovely lay out, fairways need some work, greens good and a wonderful afternoon
Wonderful layout fairways very poor
Wonderful example of a James Braid course - quite different from any course designed in the last 50 years. Tees and greens are fine (not perfect) bunkers in good condition, fairways pretty hopeless but maybe the club looks forward to a more stable period out of administration and I hope the money is there to bring this great course back to its rightful condition.

Good track excellent value especially considering london location could be really good with real investment
