Maybe I expected more for the price
The only plus I can give this is the greens were well maintained given the rest of the course of not in great condition and the fact it is clearly accessed often by members of the public.
On arrival I thought I was parked up in a builders yard. It didn't feel safe and the so called club house needs knocking down. It reminds me of an old mens social club thats been forgotten about.
If you manage to lose a ball on this course, that would be impressive. I did manage to put one ball into some trees and on retrieving it found a used stash of bottles of cider and needles.
On the 15th I saw something I hope I never see on a golf course again - a young man receiving a pleasurable "favour" from his girlfriend behind one of the trees.
The layout requires you to cross a busy road a couple of times and isn't clearly sign posted everywhere.
I certainly wont be visiting again at £40 a round with what I experienced.
Has improved so much....
The greens and tees at West Middlesex have to be some of the best in and around London - and this is a great improvement after some disappointments over the last few years. The fairways are a mixture. Most holes are classic well-manicured parkland and a few (the more difficult) are more like scrubland (2, 3, 9). Top value in London. Recommended.
Good morning out
Nice day out. Course struggled with drainage after some heavy rain over the last few days (17 and 18 were closed), but overall conditions and greens made up for it. Members also really friendly with some great banter. Finished off with a nice pint on the balcony afterwards - all in all a very enjoyable way to spend a Saturday morning
Hidden Gem on my doorstep
Having been looking for courses on hot deals I came across this by chance.
Amazing course, great layout, challenging for a novice like me as lost a fair few balls but will definitely play there again if I can find a cheap deal. The price on average is quite expensive for me as I’m a beginner bit would definitely try again if a good deal hit me in the face.
All the course from fairways bunkers n greens were in tip top condition.
Other bonus as the title suggests is that it ais a hidden gem on my doorstep.
Great place
Really enjoyed it

A proper test
Having only resumed Golf in the last few months after a long hiatus, ive been getting back into the "swing" of things by trying out new courses i haven't played before.
West Middlesex is close to my office and i played here at around 5pm. Early for my tee off i was allowed by the friendly staff to set off earlier. It was fine to play on my own but i had a 3 ball in front of me, which did hold me up a little.
The course has some real challenges, especially some of the par 3s. The 2nd, 10th and 11th (full carry over water) especially. Unlike my play, you need to be accurate off the tees otherwise you may be losing a lot of balls!
The course is in excellent condition, greens fast and great value for money. When i get more accurate ill be back again!
Narf difficult!!
Narf a difficult venue, caused me some serious jip on the par 3s. All in all a smashing set of holes to test your game.
Interesting Course & Not Too Difficult
Enjoyable course that offers challenges but nothing really difficult which is ideal for an average golfer. There are some interesting par 3 holes and the par 5s are good. The greens were in very good condition.
Good round
I played a 3 ball with a friend and my father. We all enjoyed the course and it was playable even for us novices! The course was well kept and staff very friendly.
The Northolt Cup
Retained the Northolt Cup with 34 points. The greens are like billiard tables , the course is in very good condition. A great afternoon.
Pleasantly surprised
Lovely course tucked away in southall
Great condition of the greens- really fast - having watched the masters the night before we were treated to lovely hard greens
Course has lots of challenges but is still very scorable- great value and an enjoyable day will have to play again now we have some knowledge of the quirks
