Decent for the price
Greens and fairways were well maintained, they have a bizarre year only £100 fee locker policy but friendly enough staff that helped me out for the day. They allowed a 4 ball with only 2 sets of clubs between them so POP was atrocious. Club house felt more like a pub but that’s probably appealing for most. No pro shop, decent range to warm up beforehand but would have cost extra if I hadn’t found a code online.
2h45 to play 10 holes.
Slowest pace of play I’ve ever had. Too many group bookings, people jumping in behind each other, two groups backed up onto one tee. Not worth the £34 green fee for the Saturday, had to abandon the round. Course itself is nice, no trees so you can find lost balls easily. Club house also nice and driving range. Wouldn’t go back due to pace of play and not feeling good value for money.
Links course near Heathrow
Never knew this little gem existed. Whilst not the longest course it has a number of interesting holes and is a great place to practice your short game. Driver stays in the bag for most holes as you can get to within 120 yards on most holes with a 3 Wood
Thoroughly enjoyed it and can highly recommend
Great condition
Played it as a 2 ball today teed off at 8am and completed it in 2hr55mins , the course is in fantastic condition both greens & fairways and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend. Well done to all
Nice course near Heathrow
Nice course easy to reach by car just outside London. Short but tricky holes
Course in not great condition
I appreciate that there’s been not much rain - but the course is hard, rocky and not in very good shape. All the boards in the tee boxes are gone, and there are no amenities on the course (water taps, ball washers, sand for divots etc).
Poor condition
Fairways have hardly any grass, greens were very bobbly. Looks like it hasn't had any care spent on it.
First visit
Tough course for a first round. Lots of blind shots. Fast links fairways when I hit them 🤣. challenging and fun. Staff were very friendly and helpful
Worth a try
Second time playing the airlinks. Great challenge for all. Bit slow as we got stuck behind a number of three balls, Fairways were not to bad bounced well. Greens were ok not much green grass on them but rolled true. If you hit it straight you will score well. Definitely one to try. Green fees were a good price.
4 ball
Played here today. Must say really impressed with course and layout.
Only issue ive got is we was finishing the 2nd hole and was getting rushed by a Marshall. Teed off at 8am and was on the green of 2nd hole by 8.20. Considering we had to wait for group infront to move off the green. We completed the 18 by 11.30 which I would say is a good pace of play for a 4 ball first time playing the course in mind. Would this put me off going again definitely not.
Great value course
The course was fun to play with some challenging holes accompanied with some good holes for beginners. The club house is great and the staff are super helpful. Hole 9 doesn’t pass the clubhouse so make sure you bring enough drinks to keep you going for 18 holes.
Typical municipal course
Booked here last minute. Reasonable course to play with added benefit of plane watching. (I’m high HCap) Quite tight in places .
Whilst some holes were marked on where to go for next tee some could do with clearer instruction for visiting players who haven’t played the course before.
Steady round, pace was ok, caught a 3 ball eventually who allowed me through.
Fairways were ok albeit a little sparse of grass and water in places, semi rough could do with a little more tlc.
The lake hole would have been interesting had it had water in it. Was able to walk through it.
Will play again in near future. Good bar / cafe facilities. Good parking.
Practice putting and driving range (Topytacer) alongside.
