Underrated course
Played a lot here over the past 12 months, great layout, testing tee shots, really mature course with some very interesting holes. The greens are generally excellent. Some parts of the course have a tendency to get very wet in the winter months, but the greens hold up better that the rest of the course. Excellent value and a bit of a hidden gem.
Toni
I bought this round for my sons birthday and I am so glad i did. Probably one of the best course we have played. The greens were in championship condition with no straight puts. The fairways were also in excellent condition. Clever course design with each hole set desperately only seeing a tee to green view. You will need the long irons from the fairway, the course is long and challenging. We will be playing here again.
Nice challenging course
Really nice course with mature trees lining up the fairways. Big greens, the holes are long enough I had to use rescue clubs a few times to reach. Didn’t get the chance to use the driving range but grass range is great
Lovely setting, well kept course.
Would join tomorrow if they had a pay monthly membership scheme.
A lovely course that is always well kept. Some challenging holes and great for me as a high handicapper.
Friendly staff and great off course amenities. Chipping Green, putting area, driving range all available for pre round warm up.
I know a few low handicappers who are members here and they love the place.
Around £1100 for a full 7 day membership, but Perhaps I will look into the lifestyle membership instead which is around £450 for a bundle of points to use as green fees.
Lovely staff - course played v.well
Staff at Whipsnade very welcoming and genuine.
The course is slightly longer than others which makes the day worthwhile.
Greens were perfect and fairly fast.
No temporary measures which made the day very enjoyable for our 4 ball.
Excellent greens & fairly long
The course was in good nick with the greens running fairly fast. 5 par fives makes the course quite long. Excellent practice area and putting green too.
Beautiful Course
To be fair I had a heads up that it would be right up my street but I was very impressed nonetheless. Fantastic test, well maintained, picturesque, warm welcome, friendly members.
A really good challenge for every kind of golfer.
Would very much recommend a visit. Can’t wait to play here again.
A really good solid parkland course with great views.
This was the second time I’ve played Whipsnade and I have to say it is a really good parkland course. The greens are superb, some of the best in the area.
The course is fairly long but if you play well it gives ample scoring opportunities.
The putting green and practice range are both excellent and the staff are very friendly.
Fantastic course
The fairways and greens were superb! The course was long, but still very enjoyable due to the condition and how it played.
Hats off to the ground staff, seeing as this is the middle of summer, most fairways can be scorched by now but this course was playing so well. I also like how the course made you think about your approach. Well placed tress and bunkers. I am a high handicapper but still found this course enjoyable and with plenty of par 5s and a few par 3s there were chances out there for me. Pro shop and bar staff were friendly. Nice little clubhouse. Top class practice facilities. I would highly recommend.
this course is tough to par
Beautifully tree lined fairways with tricky bunker positions.
The course is relatively flat with long par 5s.
Staff were very friendly and helpful a pre round lunch in clubhouse was very enjoyable.
Driving range and pitching area very good facilities
gem of a golf course
set in a very tranquil location with a premium feel to the course. all holes were challenging and fun to play. Clubhouse and facilities excellent. Staff made us feel welcome as visitors- fairly priced food/drink. Can't wait to visit again.
Lovely parkland course
Course is quite long (Par 73) with lots of trees. Bunkers are in good condition (not too steep) as are the greens. Very little by way of water hazards. We were told the course was busy but pace of play was excellent. Recommended!
Lovely fast and true greens
Good course layout , longish but was running true. Greens were brilliant and fast. Staff were good and friendly.
