Worlebury First Time
Friendly welcome at the Pro Shop with some good
advice about negotiating the course.
Course itself was not so daunting as the on-line video suggested but some of the fairways were cut short and showing signs of browning. The greens by comparison were in fantastic condition. Weather was breezy and felt a bit cold for late June, fortunately the forecast light rain showers held off until we had finished. We had to drive back to Devon so didn't stop in the bar for our customary pint, maybe next time. In summary a nice course and despite the distance from home I hope to return and play again.
boxing day round
scratch golfer, £29 per player, great course for the money,
Caught course in good weather
Before poor weather arrives played and enjoyed.
Will not play in rain / mud or winter.
Lovely undulating course with elevation changes
A great course. Loads of hills, elevation changes, trees but not too many.
Short par 4s that ask you to have a go.
It was very dry and the fairways and greens were like concrete.
Great sand in the bunkers.
Will be back.
LITTLE HIDDEN GEM
Lovely little course. Not the hardest but great fun, good views and friendly. Pace of play good so definitely recommended.
Nicely laid out course,
Nice, flat course. Well maintained and some nice par 4’s very much gettable. Will be visiting again.
Wet, very wet.
Overall it was a great experience playing Worlebury. Unfortunately for us the course was extremely wet. On the plus side we were the only ones playing. Will definitely be giving it a go when the weather improves
Good winter round
Course condition remarkably good given recent rainfall.
Played off grass on most tees, and all full greens. Fairways had decent coverage of grass. All in all, in good nick.
Easy enough walk too, mostly gently sloping with tree lined fairways, all on high ground with views over the Bristol Channel and countryside. Rough ares kept well trimmed.
Nice place to be.
Worlebury 12th Jan 2024
We've played this course a few times now so are familiar with the layout but it is well laid out with signs to the next tee for first timers. Course was still "soft" after the extremely frequent and heavy rain in the preceding weeks/months but the grass cover on the fairways and greens was good. Balls needed cleaning after almost every shot!
Bar staff were friendly and welcoming, as was the Golf Pro when we booked in.
Certainly recommend for anyone considering to play.
Weather was dull and cold but some good views over the Bristol Channel.
Good day.
Great course with nice views. A mix to be a challenge in places but enjoyable for a high handicap. Speed of play was good.
