The First Tee of North Florida - Brentwood Golf Course

this course is short but it is well maintained. in fact it was a little unexpected that it was in such good shape. the only thing detracting from the overall experience is that there are no hole summaries on holes 3 thru 8.

The course is good for an average golfer, which I am, as well as challenging for a long-hitter & low handicap, like my husband! The greens were in good shape, in fact, better than some more well-known courses in Jacksonville & surrounding areas. The one downfall, we got behind a fivesome of walkers with no ranger. We thought when we got to a par 3 they'd let us through but they didn't. After. 2 sets of golfers went around us & them previously, we also did the same. Messed with our game but we got it back. Also it was a Sat. & their snack bar was closed; disappointing! Overall, we liked the layout & condition & would definitely try it again.

Good value for the money plus the course is in very good shape. People are great

Course is almost in perfect shape, but for the money, I think its the BEST DEAL IN JACKSONVILLE

The course was in good shape and the play was fast. Greens were in better shape than earlier this year.

I played with a brand new golfer. The staff (including the grounds crew) was helpful and accommodating.

Great practice facility, my boys did not want to leave! Fun layout with some drivable par fours. Some of the tees could use some work, lack of TLC.
Greens are coming around and it would be nice if people would repair their ball marks. Great course to work on your game. Staff is very friendly, hats off to Bill he is a real pro.

The course was it kind of bad shape but it still was fun

Course was not crowded on a Saturday morning and is great for amateur golfers.

My tee time was 7:30 am and apparently they open the doors at that time; so I stood outside the door with the golf shop attendant fighting not to make eye contact.. It was awkward.

The course is a cool little 9 hole track. It's great for practicing, but almost every green has a ring of sand around it. It made legitimately putting really hard.

The staff was friendly, the facility was in good shape but out of the 9 greens, 3 of them had grass on them and the rest were in horrible shape. I would prefer to know that the greens were being aerated prior to booking a tee time on GolfNow but I guess they are only as good as the information they are given by the course. Great value when the greens come back. I'll play there again in 4 to 6 months.

I've played here atleast ten times.wonderful course but this time the greens were in rough shape fromI guess being dry and being aierated very bumpy.Good for the discount price on golf now till they are fixed.but overall I enjoyed it as I do every time I play here

I love this place and will always return, I've played all over Jacksonville and I've found this one to be the easiest to get on and play with excellent prices.

Course in great. Condition however not good value for the money....$21 for 9 holes... Really. And it's the same holes if u play 18... Much better values a at other courses in the city

A really great 9 hole course in Jax! The First Tee Program does a great job keep up with the course, from the range to the course itself. Price is super reasonable and the course is just fun to play!

I used to love this course. When I went last time I was greeted nicely until I mentioned GolfNow. The golf pro came out and told me all about how his course is losing money from the site and he does not approve of it. Made me feel bad for using the website. I go out and there are 2 groups waiting on the tee box and I had a paid reservation for that time. No starter or ranger, just a free for all. Walkers ahead of me would not allow me to pass and they were slowing down an already slow pace. The carts were very loud and slow. Most tee boxes had little grass and were you could not find even ground for solid footing. The fairways were the only bright spot on the course. The greens were ok if your approach found the center. The edges were very sandy and there must have been a mole having an all-u-can eat buffet on the par 5 green. Overall a waste of time. I could not get into any rhythm cause I would hit a shot and have to wait about 2-3 mins every shot. I will not be going back just cause of the unprofessionalism by the golf pro.

Found from the getgo that the person behind the counter was extremely courteous, friendly, and helpful.
I brought a guest with me who has played other courses in Jacksonville and was very impressed.
We will absolutely play there again.

Very nice course, my new favorite for the money. Fairways in great condition. And the greens are a little challenging.

Short course that helps tune your iron skills. Well kept and great practice facilities.

If you want to get in and out in a short period of time yet be challenged this is the place
