Bent Creek Golf Course
About
Since the opening of Bent Creek Golf Course in 1989, the 6,420-yard, par-71 course has provided a challenging golf experience for residents of Northeast Florida and visitors alike.
Crafted by renowned architect Bobby Weed with consulting services by Mark McCumber, Bent Creek's meandering terrain takes golfers through a certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary, towering pines and alongside creeks and swales. The championship layout boasts Bermuda grass greens, plush fairways and a state-of-the-art lighted practice facility - home of the Bent Creek Golf Academy.
From the back tees, Bent Creek carries a rating of 71.6 and a slope of 136. The challenge starts with the first hole, which measures 538 yards from the gold tees, just 20 yards short of No. 15, the longest hole on the golf course.

Perfect weather and a really nice course
Haven't played this course in years but always liked it. Got rsvp online very easy. Showed up and 3 people behind counter (shift change?) told me new details about course and practice area. Got warmup bucket and went to range. Nice condition and very well marked. Their free app helped with target selection and distance. Chipping area had lots of balls and is nice way to start. Putting green had sand so I went to bunker area green and warmed the putter up. Nice to have choices. Got to first tee and off I went. 74 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. Perfect. Course was as I remembered it. Very nice condition. Like everywhere else all the ponds are low because it hasn't rained. The greens were fast and true. Met up with another "single" at 11 and played the rest of the way in. Greens, bunkers, fairways, and tees were in very good shape. I'm already looking forward to playing here again. Have to say that I used their app for scoring and GPS and it worked flawlessly. Checked distances with my laser and found they always checked out. Kudos to the staff and course workers!
Thumbs up
Great course conditions for the winter season. Greens rolled nice.
Great Day on the course
The course was in great shape, staff was very friendly and welcoming. The pace of play was a little slower than expected. Overall had a great time on the course.
Good course slow pace
Love this course. The fairway was decent and the green and layout is pretty challenging. However the pace of play can be very slow. The starter need to check of people’s pace of play since some people doesn’t know how to keep up with the group in front of them. We had to skip one hole due tot hat. Other than that it is a good golf course.
Great course for money
Nice course for the price - paid $30 on Golf Now for 18 with cart - very nice layout with a slow pace of play
SLOW!!!!!
This place has a serious pace of play issue. When it was just before my tee time the starter was no where to be found leaving groups to just go out whenever. On most holes there were 4 groups. Two on the tee box, one in the fairway and one on the green. This will be the last time I play here for a while. My suggestion is to play Fleming Island instead as it’s much better managed. Plus the greens are fantastic.
Bent Creek
Nice course layout, Better on your 2nd time to play
Great layout…
Haven’t played here in years because it was always toooooo slow, took a chance, turned out well.
Still not overly quick but they did have a ranger trying to give golfers a giddyup!
Each hole is different, even though top seeded greens they still rolled really well.
Good day on the links..apart from my golf game.
Beautiful course
Used a golf now hot deal - $25 for 18 holes. Price cannot be beat. Course exceeded my expectations and is comparable to much more expensive courses in the area. Would certainly recommend and will be back again myself. Met some good fellas while playing too.
Bent Creek First Round
The layout was challenging and had some fun variations. The group in front of us was intentionally impacting pace of play & we never saw a marshall or anyone from the staff come around to address the issue. Many tight driving windows, so bring plenty of balls.
Not Worth It!
Played here for the first time ever playing in Florida and was highly disappointed. I arrived and ordered a cheeseburger thinking that is what I would receive, yet when I got my order, I took one bite and instantly had to spit it out! The burger was a microwaved burger that they throw between two buns (Patty looked freezer burnt). I told the girl that if I had known it was a microwavable patty then I wouldn't have ordered the burger. Then when I go to the counter, the older man working the pro shop had an arrogance about him... (most pro shop guys)
The course was fairly decent with fast greens... but there was a lot of pivots on the greens from people not fixing them. The worst part was having to play behind the same people and wait 5-10 minutes before taking each shot because a four stack would not let us pass, they were just taking there sweet time!
Honestly this was one of the worst golfing experiencesni have had and would NOT go back!
Nice place
This place is nice for beginners and the greens are very nice but they need to start working on some of the divots that are on these greens.
But all in all this is places.Okay
Great Value!
Course was in great condition. Firm and healthy greens and fairways. A couple of tee boxes need some attention but otherwise one of the best deals in Jax.
Course has great features
The layout of the course was outstanding. The fairways and bunkers were normal easy to play.
Must Get a Ranger Patrolling This Course
One group brought the course to its knees. This is not the first time, and the problem could be easily improved by having someone’ manage pace of play. Layout and conditions are good.
