Esplanade Golf and Country Club of Naples

Esplanade was a fair and interesting course to play. Relatively few problems to worry about for a new player while working around the holes. Challenging greens with lot of rolling areas, although unexpectedly slow for Florida.

Fairways are wide, greens are large.Had not played this course in two years. Was very glad that the course conditions were still good.

I'm a bogey golfer and really enjoyed this course, so much so, I booked another round. Fairways are nice and open, bunkers well and logically placed and the tee boxes were LEVEL. The course layout fit my shot patterns and looked good to my eye too, which gave me the confidence to take a few risks without that much penalty if I miss hit. I had shot options, which made the round fun. One thing I really like is that there are no adjacent holes to distract me. When I play that hole, it's the only one I see. The greens are the real challenge being fast with lots of undulations and sometimes evil & cruel pin placements but that made it fun for me. The fringes and aprons around the greens were large, very smooth and even, encouraging me to use my putter from well off the green. Again, this gave me a lot of choices around the greens and made for much fun. A nice practice range and complimentary balls. The clubhouse is still under construction so don't expect fine dining and cozy bar, though that will come later. Pace of play is a little slow, in part because of the wrap-around layout and it's a bit expensive without my Golf now discounts but I find good value here at the regular price.

I highly recommend this course.

Top condition, championship style course but fairly wide fairways.

Really good golf course and in very goods shape. The pace of play was VERY slow and my foursome caught a single on the back side and he asked us to join him. We played a 5 some for 2 holes with no players behind us and was pushing a foursome when for the first tome of the day a ranger came out of nowhere and told us to split up.

Had a very fun 14 holes or so. Got off at 2;30 so did not have time to play the full 18. Had fun time with a great pairing.

The course has wide accepting fairways and very fair greens. Our group had a great time, with the match determined on the last hole.

The course is still maturing. But the fairways tees and greens are in pretty good shape. The bunkers still need sand to settle and firm up. Fairly challenging but pretty good undulations on the greens.

The course was in great shape, except for the sand traps. Either the sand was new or the traps just are not properly maintained. But for the money, it was in fine shape, challenging greens, and good pace of play. In. Fact we a re going back to play again.

Nice course. Well maintained. Generous fairways. Wouldn’t say anything negative about it.

The first nine holes are a pleasure to play. Then the second nine are played through the construction site. Some of the cart paths are non-existent and difficult to negotiate with the cart. If you have problems with grit in your eyes (contact lens wearers especially) beware this nine will cause you some tears! According to the Golf shop staff this will be another two years before construction is finished. Considering the above conditions the eighteen hole price is not cheap.

Excellent, fun course. Great layout. Played from Silver and had a great time. I"LL BE BACK!! Some cart paths are sill under construction. Very bumpy. Drive with caution>>

We stopped after 9 holes and 2 hours 45 minutes.

Terrible flight before us.

Well managed golf course condition is outstanding, 4 hour pace of play.

Greens were rolling at a 10 and the condition was the best I have seen in 3 years.
