Esplanade Golf and Country Club of Naples

The course was an excellent first time play experience. Forgiving on the drives, but challenging on the greens. Although pace was a bit slow, it was not due to too much traffic, but rather my own lack of knowledge of the course

A decent golf course. Staff not particularly friendly. Club house under construction. Unfortunately they allowed 6 foursomes in a tournament out at prime time on a Saturday. This caused serious slow play affecting the tempo of our game. The marshal was very apologetic but did not improve the pace of play, spoiling our experience.

Course conditions were very good. Housing development still in initial stages so the course should be available for a few more years.

We were very dissapointed with the pace of play, our round took almost 5 hours. The Marshal came by and stated that the spacing between the balls in front was good so nothing he could do....Maybe he needs a crash course in course marshalling?
Greens were slow and difficult to read, and very soft. Lots of ball & spike marks on the greens so no discipline in repairing. Otherwise a nice course layout and pretty good fairways with lots of construction going on everywhere. But not worth the cost of 100 dollars, in that price range there are better alternatives.

Course is pretty easy layout - wide fairways and not a lot of trouble. Great conditions, very well maintained. Friendly, accomodating staff. Drink cart comes around a lot too, which is nice on hot days! Worth a play!

Very nice layout with generous fairways and landing areas. Greens were not as fast as fitting a course of this calibre. Price was not comparable with other courses (Panther Run, The Rookery) we have played in Naples in terms of value. May be a nice complex eventually; however, not in 2016.

Staff were terrific. The front nine was solid and the back nine was great.
We had a fun time. I would have enjoyed it more if the greens were quicker.

The course is a must play in the Ft. Myers area!! Greens are great shape and the course provides an excellent challenge!! Tough but fair!!

I have played Esplanade a number of times as a Naples resident and always include a round with my guests. The staff is friendly and attentive to our golfing needs. The course is both forgiving and challenging, having some fairly wide landing zones but still incorporates enough water, sand and environmental areas. The greens are true and have some thoughtful pin placements. As are most courses they do run a tad slow. Overall I feel Esplanade is a great golf now value and will continue to play and include with my golf guests.

I really enjoyed plalying Esplanade. Course was in good to excellant shape. The landing areas for your tee shots were generous. Greens were challenging to approach and putt on. I wouldn't recommend walking as there were several long distances from the green to the next tee on the back nine. Pro shop, club house, eating and rest room facilities appear to be in a developmental stage and I'm sure will be improved. I will play here again.

Some construction as a new development, but this is easily over looked. Course and staff all excellent. Pace of play was a bit of a problem.... waiting at every hole so plan on a five hour round. Changing the pace of play is as easy as scheduling T-times 2 minutes farther apart....

We played two other private courses earlier in the week. Esplanade was in the best shape out of all of the courses. It was so fun we extended our vacation two more days to play it again.

An excellent golf course.
But the overall things aren`t as good as the course because of heavy housebuildings and not ready garden aciities.
