The ultimate California splurge
Only golfers who stay at the new Sensei Porcupine Creek can play the course. This exclusivity leads to a once-in-a-lifetime round where the course feels like your own private playground. You're more likely to see a mountain lion than another golfer. The routing builds more tension as you get deeper into the round. The front nine is relatively flat with water and bunkers directing the way through narrow corridors. Golfers climb steps to reach the 10th tee, revealing the first of several incredible elevated tee shots to finish the round. The 15th hole is one of the most thrilling par 3s I've ever played, plummeting off a launching pad to a green surrounded by desert. This do-or-die moment is alone worth the price of admission, even if that green fee is among the most expensive in the world ($650-$950 depending on the season).
