The Club at Islas del Mar

We had a great time again. We mainly fold at Islas and always enjoy it. Highly recommended.

We always love it at Islas del Mar. I am only removing one star for this round because recently when I book the first tee time at 8am, the proshop is late opening and therefore it is closer to 8:15 before we actually tee off. The proshop is commonly late opening. They used to let us go on time and check in after 9 or after the round. Last week they did that too because the Golf Manager was there. Not so this week because the back-shop is not authorized. I had prepaid so it was just to sign a form. Not a huge deal, but it made a 15 minute difference which then put us behind some slower players after the turn.

Charged me for 2 carts to bring another rider ,club rentals are very old and missing clubs charged me $155 for 2 players and a rider

It can be a bit windy but we lucked out with a non windy day. Very interesting course. It’s 9 holes so you have to play the same 9 twice. Changing tees can make it more interesting. I would definitely play it again.

The course conditions are excellent. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We always have fun there.

We teed off at 8am when they opened and had the whole front to ourselves. When we crossed over to the back (same physical holes) we threaded between two groups. I don't know how many were on the course at that point, but we were definitely following at least 3 groups. But they did fine and we still finished in 4 hours.

Golfing there is a real pleasure.

Thanks to the Golf Manager for letting us go out right at 8am even though the lady at the front desk wasn't ready to accept my signature on the GolfNow card. In the past they sometimes insist we wait for her so teeing off can be 5 or 10 minutes late. It works perfectly well to sign when we get back in, so thank you for being practical.

This course was a steal for the price and offered challenging layout while still being fair. Wind picked up on the back making it more difficult but fun. Water views were incredible. Can’t wait to play it again.

I'm not a big fan of 9 holes twice style of golf course but this one was good. We played white tees 3140 was pretty long. Bit of a grind with multiple 400 yard par 4s. Second nine we played the Gold. Still around 3,000 but much more fun. They should mix the two tees and have gold and white together.

I'd play it again and I'd tell a friend.

It's only a 9 hole course the want way too much for golf and cart and a rider club rental fair but clubs antiques?

Everything was perfect.

The only suggestion is that for a GolfNow reservation where the rounds are prepaid, allow the golfers to go ahead and play and sign the slip after the round if the proshop is not open before the tee time. The pro shop generally opens at 8:05 or 8:10, so a bit late for an 8am tee time. The back shop is there early and has the carts ready. Just waiting on the pro shop to sign the slip.
