Great course, poor pace
Love cobblestone, it’s challenging and always in really great shape. Pace of play is almost always an issue though. Some really inexperienced golfers made for a tough pairing but the main issue seems to be that tee times are really close together.
Good course, poor management
While I like the layout of the course, the course shows wear from the many rounds played. There are many divots not filled by players and sand traps have not been raked by players or touched by the course maintenance in some time. Biggest problem at this course is the pace of play. My tee time was 8:20 with the next scheduled time at 8:30; however the powers that be added another tee time at 8:25. Then on the course there were no rangers to get the groups in front us to move as there were several times we could see a hole open in front of the group ahead of ours. Round’s generally take 5+ hours to play here so that is why I play at most once a year. What a shame.

Beautiful Time
Cobblestone is spectacular! One of the most beautiful courses that I have played! I took my wife and met a great member Terry who joined us for the round! Can’t wait to go back!

Amazing Course
This is by far one of the best courses I have played in my short career as a golfer. It was definitely worth the drive from Duluth. Went with my wife and played from the forward tees. It was still very challenging as it wasn't much of an advantage from those tees. The views were beautiful!! Will play again!

They "declined" my credit card and charged me for both Golf Now and for the golf . My buddy had to pay. I checked and my card is fine, and now I am trying to get refunded.

The course has a lot of pretty scenery of the lake
Golf course was very wet but still very fun to play. Had no sand in bunkers but I did not get in them so it did not affect me.

Cobblestone
Excellent course layout and well kept from a maintenance perspective. Ranger drove around on course but I never saw him speak to slow groups, which was disappointing. Overall very good course, challenging with narrow well kept fairways and tight greens. Look forward to coming back

Tough, but Beautiful course
I have been itching to play this course since I moved to the Atlanta area 3 years ago and it lived up to the hype. It is a very challenging course, but completely worth every penny. We were paired with a super nice guy who works as a ranger there so we got a some course knowledge tips which was helpful.
They punched greens a month ago and sanded about 2 weeks ago so I would expect that in 2 weeks they will be rolled and in ideal, yet slippery conditions.

The course was pure
First time out playing and will be back. The course was challenging but pure. Greens were firm and fairly quick.

Greens have recovered attitudes haven't
Sand has worked itself in. No GPS. The carts are outfitted for it but no distances.
Salty guy in the clubhouse said it cost 40K to activate the distances. So they canceled.
Well, this is no cheap course and there seems to be plenty of play. What is the point of having GPS on the cart without distances? Most all of the other courses I play have it.
Also just know Rain checks are prorated. Play 5 holes and that's what you get, a discount not a full raincheck. Many other better courses seem to appreciate the business more than Cobblestone.

Greens very Sandy from aeration
Although the started said the greens were in “great shape” I felt like I was putting on freshly aerated greens with a huge layer of sand on them, no aerification alert, paid full price. Also the carts have gps but clearly they need to be recalibrated because they would randomly stop on several occasions throughout the course when I was on the cart path, nor were the yardages being displayed on the screen like they usually are. 3/4 water coolers were empty. Not a great experience.
