Pathetic
Last time I played here, it was an 18 hole course. Besides that difference, this course is still a dog track. Bad fairways, bad tee boxes, and bad putting greens. Even the practice greens were bad. You get what you paid for. Save your $$ and time. Pay more for a better experience. Montebello golf courses are perfect if you are looking to get a quick 9 or 6 holes in. Azusa greens( azusa burnt brown grass) should be demolished and just built houses already. This place is horrible.
I had an 8:30 a.m. tee time and ended up leaving after the 5th hole at 10:30 because the pace of play was extremely slow. That’s two hours for five holes, which would have put the round close to three to four hours if I stayed.
Groups were stacked on every tee box. Players were taking multiple shots while others waited, and there didn’t appear to be a marshal monitoring pace or helping keep things moving. I completely understand that everyone has different skill levels, but there needs to be some structure to prevent backups like this.
It’s frustrating to plan your morning around a tee time and not be able to finish due to pace of play. The course itself may have potential, but pace management has to improve. I hope they consider having a marshal out during peak times.
ANOTHER DAY, AROUND ROUND
This course has never disappointed! Nostalgia kicks in--thinking about how it used to be 18 holes... but I love how active they are on social media! I know this course will get back to what it once was!
Disappointed
Was hoping for a quick round and chose this course. No longer 18 holes. Only the back nine open and the fairway and grass condition poor
Azusa Browns still earns its nickname
This could easily be one of the best 9 hole courses in the area!!! The greens are ok, the fairways though are pretty much just dirt and dry grass. Hole #7 is a par 4 that you tee off from the middle of the dirt fairway.
Please put some love and time into this course :( it deserves better
