Santa Anita Golf Course

I've played here numerous times, but today was just a killer. On a Monday, 5:30 hour round - absolutely no reason for it. Terrible. Was told they were mandated 5somes, which gunked it up big time. Also told when they went from 4 to 5somes it kicked up playing time to 5 hour rounds immediately.

Bunkers were 1" sand, then cement. Skulled 2 shots over the green - horrible shape.

Hate to write these comments, but, not going back there for a while when there's many other choices in LA.

Haven't played here in a long while and won't be returning. Had to wait 45 minutes on the 8th hole and a few more tines on other holes. Finished in darkness. This was on a Thursday. Fairways were not mowed either.

Tee time at 1:11, couldn’t get is on untill 2. Waited at every tee box but one, most of the time with three groups on the box. Also I don’t know why they have allowed the fairway to be non existent anymore. It’s the same length as the rough now. Not worth the money anymore.

Every T box was backed up with at least 2 groups. They allow up to 5 golfers per group. They need a ranger or more space between groups.

The plastic cup for the hole needs to be in the ground certain distance but the greenskeeper here decided to put the cups flushed with the green which cause fewbputts not to drop and rim out. It was like this all holes. They need new greens keeper. Plus the green was in whatever shape. With slow play, def won't be going back there anytime soon

Sooooooo slow. Teed off 35 minutes later than my scheduled tee time reservation. Our group waited 25-30 minutes on the par 3’s. We left after playing #12 already four and a half hours into it. Too many people on the course. No excuse for it won’t be doing that again.

I’ve played this course many times before and it’s never been in amazing conditions but it doesn’t ever seem to get any better when I come back. The tee boxes are always uneven, especially hole 4, I’d like to do it myself one day with a shovel and a few beers. Greens are like algae on a rock and bunkers just plain out suck

The course conditions used to be a lot better. It was a nice course when they kept the greens in perfect condition. I don't know if the greens were affected by fungus or just poor groundskeeping. The greens were blotchy with dark dirt spots causing the balls to jump offline.

Very good friendly and helpful staff especially the pro shop manager John.

Greens and tee boxes where in terrible conditions only a couple greens where playable. tee boxes were beat to shreds. Over priced for terrible conditions. I remember when Santa Anita used to be gorgeous…

Slow pace of play; I surprised there were a lot of golfers on weekday. Otherwise, it was fun course.

Tee times are already too close to eachother and they send out three groups of 5 players at 11AM…on a Saturday lol
