Great public course
A very nice county course, and a great value for the money.
Good experience
The layout was fun and offered some nice challenges. Smaller greens, no water, some traps. Every hole seemed to have some kind of a feature to Add a little challenge. Did not love the soccer golf holes on the course as it made it confusing finding the green on some holes.
The conditions were ok at best. Pretty beat up at points and very dry. The greens were in decent shape though. Tee boxes were a bit beat up and uneven a lot of times.
Fun course
Fun but challenging course. It was in really good conditions. A few of the par 4's are very difficult to reach in 2 unless you're a long-knocker, which I'm not.
Never lost a ball and never felt like I was at risk of losing. Plenty of developed trees and shade.
Excellent county course
This is a really nice county owned course, and it is in very good condition. Very playable for all skill levels, so all should enjoy a nice round of golf.
Best public course in Bakersfield
Much better staff and course then riverlakes. They take care of the course and have a fun design
Fun course to play
Course is in good condition excellent greens good course lay out
Great course
Because of Corona time too many people but when it’s gone I will come back again.
Good Value because long holes
Enjoy playing Kern River because there are plenty of long holes. Usually it plays slow because many come out to try and beat this tough course. No water and few OB. But plenty of sand traps well placed.
YAAY For Golf!
This course was very enjoyable to play. It is a very open course, not much for hazards or rough and absolutely no water so quite difficult to lose a ball. The greens were in amazing shape and the sand was really clean. Very challenging par 3’s. We would definitely come back and play this course again.
Nice layout
Never played here before and consider myself a beginner golfer. The layout was nice and made for a great day. Made some new friends in the process. too. A few of the greens were a little rough due to aeration but was not an issue.
I would definitely play here again!
Always fun
Easy straight forward course! Always a bargain with the Hot Deals!
Great course
The course was nice, besides the sandbagging group of 6 guys ahead of us! Besides that overall course was fun!
Great Course
This place is a fun place to play. Challenging, long par 3s, and the greens are FAST right now. I played by myself. Several groups let me play through and I was done in about 3 hours.
