Brentwood Golf Club - Creekside/Hillside Course

The greens on the course were killed and are half mud with patches of grass. The bunkers are in poor condition with little sand and large rocks all throughout. The course layout is good but it isn’t worth $15 a round right now with the condition of the greens.

Golfed March 2025 with greens full of sand now greens need until May 2025 to recover

Greens were un playable. Sand traps had no sand. Golf carts gps didn’t work. No shoes for purchase in the pro shop. Driving range was crap. No putting surface area to practice. My gps watch didn’t work on some hole’s because of reconfiguration.

Driving range was terrible. Tee boxes were good sand traps were not playable. Greens had little to no grass, should have been airated and sanded. Not able to putt. Was not advised about green conditions.

The fairway are really nice and green however, each of the greens have been sanded and are really rough. I would probably play somewhere else for the next several weeks until the greens are in better shape April 16, 2025.

I am a long time fan of The Golf Club at Brentwood. I have written more than a handful of reviews praising the layout, the congenial staff, and the real value that the course provides. This time, however, I can't give a great review. Outstanding work has been done to improve the fairways and the traps. I really appreciate the new carts, and the way I am treated by the staff. But the greens are an absolute nightmare. They are unsuitable. There are dirt areas and clumps of grass scattered throughout the entire green. It almost appears that they are killing off the existing greens. If they are, and they plan on planting new greens, then I commend the ownership. However, at this point and time, there is no reason for me to travel over an hour to play the course. I truly hope that there is a plan, and that the greens recover to where they were before aeration. I will reiterate...I love this course...but not in it's current condition. My group will return when the course is once again at acceptable standards.

I have been playing this course since it was first put in. I have seen it go through a lot of changes from droughts to flooding and even the removal of the driving range and executive course to make way for the highway 4 bypass. The course has always been a last choice course for me due to the GPS tracking on the carts and the over grown grass around the fairways as well as in the fairways on some days not to mention the lack of sand in any of the bunkers. Even with all its issues over the years it was still an ok course to play when you couldn’t get a t time somewhere else or didn’t feel like leaving town to play golf. That is no longer the case this course has been completely destroyed you are better off hitting plastic practice balls in your back yard then paying to play this course.. I don’t know what they are trying to do to the greens but they might as well just remove them and start over at this point. This whole corse has gone way down hill and I don’t see any hope for its future under the current ownership.

The course is okay but the greens and bunkers were terrible. They sanded the greens over 6 weeks ago and still no better. The bunkers were muddy and dirt only with very little sand at all

This has got to be the worst condition golf course I've ever played and I've been playing for 30 years. Save your money and go somewhere else. Greens, if you could call it that were mostly dirt/muddy with steaks of grass. They just put sand on it and didn't even plug it first. Rough hadntt been mowed in several weeks. Just the worse conditons ever. Bunkers were just dirt, not even a hint of sand.

usually, golf now tells you when they aerate. they didn't. most of the greens were aerated dirt. the bunkers have always been a disaster. for some reason, they won't give you a cart until 15 min. before tee time. I guess it doesn't matter, since they have a limited driving range that you can only hit irons, and no chipping, or putting green at all. its really too bad they don't keep the course in good shape, because the layout is really nice.

The greens are pretty much destroyed. It's worse than a aeration as there's no grass on much of the greens. I think there's grass only on the last 3 or 4 holes, but there's still patches of grass missing from them.

However, the fairway conditions are good

It's early season, but this course is in terrible shape right now. 14 of the 18 greens barely have grass right now. Lots of sand everywhere on the greens. We play this course often through the year normally the tee times are available and it's very inexpensive. Course is fun and there's what looks to be light at the end of the tunnel. Hopefully it's better shape this summer.

Staff was amazing and the food is great at the clubhouse.
