Date Palm Country Club
About
Nestled in Coachella Valley, Date Palm Country Club sits at the base of the San Jacinto and Santa Rosa mountain ranges, providing nearly every hole on the golf course with a stunning view. The course is the centerpiece of a popular retirement community near Palm Springs, a location that enjoys nice weather year-round and is just 20 minutes from shopping, dining, and museums. The layout is on the shorter side, but it still has some challenging holes. The golf course demands accuracy with every contour of the rolling terrain and you'll be put to the test even further when maneuvering the small greens and narrow fairways. The bunkering is minimal but strategic at Date Palm C.C., and the occasional water hazard also comes into play. In addition to the golf course, there is a practice putting green.

My tee shot on the second hole. It was nice to get a birdie early. Photo submitted by Napawillie on 03/30/2015
Nice par3 course
13 par 3s and 5 short par 4s. Nice layout with lots of ponds and mature trees. Many of the par 3 s are 170 yards plus. 2.5 hours to play. Easy to walk. Tees were in very average condition, fairways good, greens nice.but slow, bunkers good. Lots of dead leaves on tees fairways and greens.
Good value
Course was in good condition. Mostly a par 3 course .
Memories
Use to play this course 10+ years ago and started again this season. Love it and it is just right for us as Senior player to enjoy.
3rd round with my 13 yo son
This is a great fast paced round with my son. The course was in great condition and perfect for my newbie son on his 3rd round. Played the round in just about 2 hours. I will definitely come back to work on his game or my short game.
A good Day
My wife had not golfed for almost 3 years and this course fit her to a tee. Executive length . Great check in, great pace , Greenskeeper get full marks very lush
Date Palm
Great course for novice golfer. Very friendly staff
Picturesque
Old memories
We played this course many years ago, like 10 or 12 Years, it was so nice to comeback and play, shafting memories.
The course is in excellent shape and still challenging for us and will play again soon.
Closing up
9 holes closed, which was not indicated in the registration process. Closing course completely on Oct 1.
closed hole
One hole was closed while repairs being done to lake, no information to that effect when we booked.
Residents!
The round of golf was fun, but the pace was slow. some of the local residents that live there had a 5 cart five some ahead of us not a good idea and slowed things way down. Also they to me were not to golf smart! They were slow, encircled each green they came to, then when done took their sweet time on getting off! RUDE!
Date Palm
Overall an enjoyable course. Several water hazards but was fun.
Good Executive Length Course
If you are looking for a nice and slightly challenging Executive course, I recommend Date Palm CC. The course conditions were really good and the staff was very friendly. There are four par 4's and the rest are par 3's but with a fair amount of water to make some of the short par 3's pretty challenging. I played 18 holes in 2hrs and the price was good. One negative, I could see how this course could get backed up on busy days because of needing to wait on the par 3's. That's not an issue when you are playing in the summer :)
Home Away From Home
I learned to play golf on this course so the challenges are still there of hitting over the water on the 8th, the 12th and the 16th. But improvement on my game is gauged by my plan. I really love this executive course. Great value for the money, friendly staff and shade in the summer. Try it - you will like it! Trust me.
Delightful - if you’re not snobby
Hidden gem. Always in great shape and a real pleasure to play winter or summer. I always score well here, as it’s very basic and straightforward. Staff is friendly. It’s NOT a high-end place, pro shop, driving range and 19th hole are very basic. No drink carts or bag drop service, but I don’t care. Lots of trees (shade in summer) and in the early AM it’s still cool and the grass is still damp. One of the first courses I played here in the Coachella Valley and will always be a sentimental favorite. For the price, it’s a steal.
Home Away From Home
I learned to play golf on this course - four years ago and have been going back and going back. Everytime I play this course I seem improvements in my game - 8th hole challenging as I have to hit over water - they take great care of this course, staff is always helpful and maintain a professionalism with the players. You will not be disappointed - go for it!
